per il mio fratello animico Peter da firenze a dublino fino a berlino...mano nella mano...saltellando come nell'adolescenza...nell'eterno incanto della nostra eterna amicizia...and this one...this one.....
this has always been my favorite song by paul, ever since i was really young when my mother would play his cds in the car. idk, its just something about this song....
A lot of fans tend to think that pretty much every song Paul wrote is somehow about John, and vice versa. I think that's ridiculous. But THIS song I do think is about John. The lyrics just seem so much like a conversation that Paul wishes he could have had with John but now it's too late. It full of regret, and yet also full of warmth of memory. And the video makes me think that even more, because they're sort of meditating as if they're trying to reach John's soul in the afterlife.
Great song until the last bit...reminds me of how Lovely Rita on Sergeant Pepper was such a great song but it fades off on a very weird unnecessary tangent. I seem to recall it being an even longer fadeout on the album.
Not one of Paul's more memorable melodies (I prefer MY BRAVE FACE), but I really like the lyrics a lot ... it tells you that you can't wait for the perfect moment to do what you have to do; you just do it.
How much I love this song. It's remarkable the fact that reached #18 in the UK charts, the same position as "My Brave Face" did some months before, when the album "Flowers in the Dirt" wasn't even released. So this song made the same position being the album avaiable everywhere! Great!
#1, Think Sgt. Pepper's...PID???

Nice song-horrible production ruins it-the musicians he had at this time were awful musos,no creativity

@thunderagent67 Actually I believe that Paul wrote this song for George. Note all the Indian imagery. Here Today was his tribute to John.

This song is a great song about appreciating a woman, and it has a spiritual component.
There is nothing like the great love of a beautiful woman who is beautiful inside and outside. I pray for such a woman.
I love Paul McCartney....
