hello, i managed to get it into disk mode once, then i reset it again by mistake. now I can reset it, but I can't enter any of the other modes such as disk mode or the menu by holding select and rewind. resting is the only command that works. my ipod works fine. why cant I enter disk mode again?

make sure you have the right rockbox for your media device, and when in rockbox is booted go to "database" instead of "file", "database" reads all the tags for your music (artist, genre, song names, etc.) and sorts it according to what you click, which is probably going to be "artist". there is a large variety of options. its because music is stored in a hidden ipod folder (if you're on ipod). also, rockbox isn't perfect, make sure you use the newest update yadda yadda yadda

You just download it as you normally would on an ipod. You can still access the regular ipod setting. You reset the ipod and you turn on the hold button. Keep it on until it shows up in the regular mode.

for those who could not get there ipodpatcher to detect there ipods and u just want to disconnect but says do not disconect do not worry.

Go ahead and delete .rockbox from ipod

then disconnect it.

After that you will see its still in disk mode but you want to exit out of that.

Just hold the "Menu" and "select" button until you see apple logo. After that just wait and then your done u should see your regular ipod menu again!
