I played through vanilla. Not through Naxx, but through Nefarious, and I must say, I miss nothing. Yes Wotlk was too easy, but Vanilla was hard for the wrong reason. It was hard because the game itself was broken. Yeah, you could do things, but failing happened for the wrong reason. Also, people also need to remember that these days there are strats (Tankspot for one) for people. That kind of thing didn't exist then, nor did rotations. Real, actual rotations.

needed 3 tanks, he bounced hateful strike around between them, the only problem being that he would one shot any tank who didnt have full BWL, AQ40 gear with absolutely full raidbuffs, plus worldbuffs and flasks. On a fully prepared tank, he would hit about 10-12k, which was a fuckton back then.

Naxx was hard it was F-ing impossible. Nothing in wrath even comes remotely close to how hard 40 man naxx was. Family guilds can raid the top content now. Only the most elite, hardcore guilds could even kill the first boss in 40 man naxx at 60. Less then 1% of wow players even went inside before BC.
