I'm just learning this trick from the collected works no.1, watching this vid just inspires me to perform this good. Love Elmsley, unfortunately like Marlo ( love that 6 card count) most of his stuff is just too amazing
@WongFeiFox Good for you, there's tons of great stuff in there. Although I have to admit, when it comes down to it, I don't actually perform any of it for real people. Not much of it works for the performing situations that I am often in (informal, walkaround). But good learning anyway!
dude thats awesome i figured how to do it in 30 mins. Great trick but its pretty hard to do even though i dont have his book. exelent performance 5 stars
how to get a tutorial on all back with aces, that was great stevev since i'am here what is the best way to do the elmsley? there'are so many ways what's best? thanks steve123387
You won't get a tutorial on this, I'm sorry. Not only is it not mine to give away, it's also a bit complicated to teach in a tutorial and an obscure effect, so I don't think you'll find this around. Your best bet is to go directly to the source: The Collected Works of Alex Elmsley, Vol. 1.
But let me suggest that, if you're still searching for the best way to do the Elmsley count on youtube, you're not ready to perform this...
I've done the same thing; learned a routine just for the pleasure. In my case it was Cutting the Aces by Vernon. LOVE that effect, but haven't done it for years now. Oh, I also just watched your Homing Card. GREAT job. Very smooth. This is another I must relearn. Keep up the Awesome video's.
Well done young man. Nice trick, well performed, good presentation, nice handling, very entertaining. I've never seen this routine before, so truly enjoyed it. Must check my one book I have of Mr. Elmsley and see if it's in there. I really love most of his material. Thanks for your video, and NOT exposing it.
@smitty747 Thank you very much, kind sir! It's funny, this is one of those routines that I practiced and perfected just for the pleasure of it, but I actually never perform it. If I had a regular performing venue, though, it might be part of my repertoire. It is a very cleverly structured effect. You can find it in the collected works of Alex Elmsley, vol. 1.
@BJBlitzstein Im from Argentina, no way i can pay a book in dollars in my actual budget. Thanks anyway, ill have just have to forget about this piece of art :/
glad that you asked im stunned by everything...first of all you handle the cards like you'r one with them your presentation is convincing the sleights are amazing and it's obvious that you masterd them i have so much to say but i think this says it all just perfect and if you ever have a chance please visit my channel a see some of the videos....
Wow, thank you, that's quite a compliment. I'm curious, what impressed you about this trick? The presentation, the sleights, the story... what specifically?
love the trick and your handling. very smooth professional performance. am working on a version of this with a borrowed deck. also love you other stuff. keep it up
this trick has it all--its confusing, its surprising, its humorous, and it has a totally clean "getaway"! where did you get it/where can i find it? its definitely a charmer, and you performed it nicely ;)
I love how the clean up works heh heh, nice handling mate, that's not the easiest trick to perform!
I look forward to seeing more videos from you.

Nice job. You took a standard patter and presented it as a sort of video confession that you might see on youtube. Thanks.

@ToraACR Try google. I found it on Amazon. 2 used copies were for sale there. 58 Bucks though. But that trick alone seems worth the cover price, neh?

I imagine it's pretty funny with a live audience. I also enjoyed the cleanup, I was wondering about that, cause it was in the description.
Good job.
