I use 6 two inch holes in my monotubs.You want to add the pollyfil once you start fruiting, that provides FAE not GE.As far as layering,I just mix spawn and substrate together in a new trash bag and pour it in the tub,then add a half inch top layer of just substrate.As long as your spawn is clean your pretty good against contamination.Hell RR spawned to a laundry basket on the floor lol

This is my take on the tek cause I've seen it before. Take a container drill 5 medium holes, pull polyfil through them to create a filter for gas exchange, lay a garbage bag on the bottom put and spread your colonized rye grain on the bottom and add half an inch to an inch of verm/coir casing over it and put the lid on and wait for white to poke through most of the casing later. Then cut the trash bag back so its level with the substrate and voila. Fuck load of shrooms. Thats to put it simply

@MrKruti1987 Cutting of any lighting on the sides of the substrate would prevent pinning from happening on the sides. Plus it makes clean up so much easier.

@11mac11s no hes using casing material, coir probably. seed and cakes are both just hosts for the mycelium to grow onto, then you break up the cakes or seeds to something they can eat like straw or shit, you can use popcorn, bird seed, almost anything, Ive seen a guy grow em off a bible. rice paper i guess.

@11mac11s Your local headshop or spores101, Ralphsters are both excellent in price and quality. Or you can get a spore print for 2 bucks american at fsre just make sure to send prints back to them when complete. I hope that helps

@mycelian when the jars are fully colonized did u empty out the colonized jars and just spread it around the fruiting chamber ? would keeping them intact be better? or does your method yield a bigger harvest? and im planing on getting a few strains in the near future and was wonderiing if you would recomend the golden teacher you grew in the vid? or if u knew of a better strain. Its gonna be my first time growing so it would be awesome if you could write back and give some advise thanks :D
