Well, for me it is totally normal to gain a little bit here and there. I try to forgive myself and just keep moving forward. It's not a race, you know? I don't have to lose weight by a certain date or anything. So everything is just progress. I do sometimes still spiral, but I find my visits to that dark place are less frequent and less enduring, so... it's progress.
That's fantastic! Did you find it was more difficult? I don't know; the time seems to go by faster, what with the ever-changing scenery, but my breathing is way more laboured, my heart rate zooms up a lot faster, and I have to take walking breaks way more frequently. I have a total mental block about running outside. I'm gonna have to get over it though - the 10k is on May 3!

I was talking to my trainer about having an off week, and he was really cool, saying it's expected that we have dips along the way; the important thing is not to let them become downhill slides (into, as I call it, "the shame spiral"!)
