it sounds like some very early output of kastrierte philosophen. maybe it really is matthias arfmann, who sings there. he always had some early 70s styles in his music.
Do you have made some search over the Internet for "Bad Saints"? I think that I had seen it somewhere longtime ago! I will perform a deep search on it and I will communicate any news it to you if I can!
Sounds heavily influenced by Joy Division, Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, This Mortal Coil, things on the 4AD label of early 1980s. It's quite good, but no way is it early 70s. It might even be some kind of hoax but more probably demo or home release by unknown German band of the era.
I don't think this is from 72, 82 more like. I don't think it's German either, the accent is too good. If it isn't a native speaker, it's probably Dutch.
Have you tried to read the record mirror? The little code in the run-off groove? That should give you the record's catalogue number.
It is very unlikely that this is from 1972. The 72 must mean something else.
This song and song 4 use what sounds like a digital sampling drum machine. These didn't come out until 1980, and were very expensive and hard to get a hold of at that time.
It fits in more with the sound of early 80's new wave anyway, which I suspect it is.
this sounds like a Joy Division plagiat
I don`t believe that this a a german group from 1972

It remembers me a bit of Bauhaus ("Bela Lugosi's Dead" for example). Really good!!!

this reminds me almost of 39 clocks, p.l.o., the swamp room records label scene.
