Dead space 2 isn't that scary yes it was at times but Dead Space 1 was much better at it. Dead space is more action to me.

well if you saw the animated movie the people were mining and the necromorphs were sealed up in the planet.The people mined the marker and the infector got out and infected the dead people. A guy found his wife but she commited suicide and when he got the ship up to the ishimura the infector flew on at the last moment and infected his dead wife but i was when his wife killed him that they were already on the USG Ishimura. In short see the animated movie Dead Space :Downfall

Everything about this game was first rate. Production values, design, voice acting, writing, atmosphere, sound. EA scores a major hit with this one.

And the characterization was well done. You really identified with Isaac and the others.

The most terrifying and unexpected intro to a survival horror game ever - took me completely by surprise, as I'm sure it did everyone else. Often there's a short period of introduction before the full onslaught, like in Doom 3 (entering the base). But here, it's straight in, no hints, no tips, no clues...and no fucking weapons! I escaped only through luck. What a game!
