I disagree with abortion, my boyfriend said that if i ever got pregnant, he would want me to have abortion, and i almost killed him, Its a fucking child. Why would you kill that poor innocent child? its disgusting.
Even though i don't agree with abortion i think it's only ok if it's rape. No one should have to deal with a child they didn't want and was forced on to them. Now if a women gets pregnant from sex by there own will or they were hammered and had sex it's there fault, they should have the child.

Exactly. If a baby is born on it's own three months early, it's a human being and has a right to life, but if it stays inside its mother through all three trimesters it's acceptable and legal to kill it until it is born? I think it only makes sense for the killing of babies that *can* live on their own - that is, if you can induce labor and the baby will survive outside the womb - to be illegal at least as long as murder is illegal. if the fetus is able to feel pain, dream and think it is a human. if not, well..

It really chaged my perspective on abortion, because until I hit high school, I knew very little about it.
I was raped and I got pregnant because of it. The baby done nothing to me and to abort it because I wanted to be a mother and raise a child differently from her father and teach her to be a good person and to make the right choices. Sure I wont be able to protect her form all the bad things but I can prevent her from dating someone who could passably hurt her like her father hurt me.

As soon as the sperm attaches to the egg, the egg is fertiziled. The zygote (fertizilied egg) is a human being. So no matter at what point you get an abortion it is murder.

I am pro-life however I can agree if a woman was violated or would have terrible complications, as long as she got it done as soon as possible (such as within the 5-6 wks, preferrably no more because you can find out nowadays within the first couple weeks if you're pregnant). Only THEN I could forgive the act but those cases are few compared to how many women abort, often carelessly, so I believe they should at least highly regulate it based on absolute need and development stage of the fetus.
It's a tough issue. When do you consider the fetus a human being? When do you consider it to have a per-say soul? Onision....you say that the rapist in essence does not deserve to pro-create and make "another" of themselves. So you believe life begins when it is possible that the fetus could live without support. Therefore it is murder, but before that point it is ok for abortion as long as it is not abused. Why not at conception? Or when a heartbeat starts? Why is it only when it looks and acts most human do you care? I do not believe in late term abortions either. But I believe abortion before awareness is ok if necessary.
Another thing to think about is about incest or sexual abuse, especially if the girl is young. If a girl is so young and can carry a child but not bear it or take care of it, what then? I'm not talking 16, I'm talking like 10. Just my input.
I think abortion is way better than giving birth and then murdering your child (newborn or later, having abused and tortured him). Think of orphans, who were abandoned, or children that are abused by parents - how few of them grow up to be happy, decent citizens. Think of people with serious birth defects and disorders, to whom life would be unpleasant at best, as well as their parents, who'd have to go through so much trouble. My word: USE PROTECTION, and if you'd hate the baby, DON'T have it.
And going off the same question (sort of) how do you feel about stem cell research? Especially because the fetuses they use are usually quite small and low on the development chain.
I agree with @NattieSD I don't know how you can condone any time of abortion Onision. Whether a tiny fetus or not, there is development much higher than that of a fish (something you wouldn't condone killing). I realize it's a "parasite" but 95% of the time that parasite was brought on by consensual choices. So riddle me how any type of abortion is right (except rape or mothers life at risk)? At least the fish is eaten when it's killed, the fetus isn't.

I agree with you Onision. And I dont think i would have understood if i didnt go through this myself. For me, i had no choice.. I was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure and I need a new kidney. Only found out about it when i got pregnant and had bloods done. If i were to carry on, I would have a 60% chance of dieing and they baby would have a 90% chance of being premature and have some sort of life long disability. the fetus was only 8 weeks when i had to go through an induced miscarriage.
@Jianeca :( I'm sorry to hear about that. You made the right choice though, that baby wouldn't have had a good life. You could have died, then it would have no mother. It could have died, or had a sever medical issues.
I myself was premature, I have PCD and possible other illnesses. (although the PCD is not a result of my being premature, because i was so small did not help).

@Zaitso811 what century do you live in? so long as it's early on in the pregnancy, all the potential mother has to do is take a couple of pills and go through period-like cramps. When it is that type of abortion, it's not killing a 'baby' as such, rather it's separating a bunch of cells from the main body (the potential mother), resulting in those CELLS dying.

Potential life is pre-life that can become true-life given an appropriate amount of time. Neither sperm nor eggs are potential life as they will not nor will ever have the ability to live on their own; they are only pieces (albeit necessary pieces) of human life - no different than lungs or hearts. However, if given the time, a fetus CAN live on its own.

Not all women have access to an immediate abortion, there are very few places in this country (the US) where a woman can receive one. In the case of very poor women, who can not afford to travel, this is a huge issue.
So you can't really say, "you're lazy if you let it develop". If you really want to help, work to expand safe, affordable abortion into all areas of the country. But until that's happened, you have no right to call anyone "lazy".

People dont just chop up babies they dont want, thats not what abortion is. If you want to have a fetus stop growing for whatever reason, so long as its before its third trimester there is nothing that should be able to stop you. They dont have nervous systems yet so there is literally no knowledge fear or pain because of whats going on. I am pro-life however I can agree if a woman was violated or would have terrible complications, as long as she got it done as soon as possible (such as within the 5-6 wks, preferrably no more because you can find out nowadays within the first couple weeks if you're pregnant). Only THEN I could forgive the act but those cases are few compared to how many women abort, often carelessly, so I believe they should at least highly regulate it based on absolute need and development stage of the fetus.

I think abortion is way better than giving birth and then murdering your child (newborn or later, having abused and tortured him). Think of orphans, who were abandoned, or children that are abused by parents - how few of them grow up to be happy, decent citizens. Think of people with serious birth defects and disorders, to whom life would be unpleasant at best, as well as their parents, who'd have to go through so much trouble. Whether a tiny fetus or not, there is development much higher than that of a fish (something you wouldn't condone killing). I agree with you Onision. And I dont think i would have understood if i didnt go through this myself. For me, i had no choice.. I was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure and I need a new kidney. Only found out about it when i got pregnant and had bloods done. If i were to carry on, I would have a 60% chance of dieing and they baby would have a 90% chance of being premature and have some sort of life long disability. the fetus was only 8 weeks when i had to go through an induced miscarriage.

Potential life is pre-life that can become true-life given an appropriate amount of time. Neither sperm nor eggs are potential life as they will not nor will ever have the ability to live on their own; they are only pieces (albeit necessary pieces) of human life - no different than lungs or hearts. However, if given the time, a fetus CAN live on its own.
I am going to ignore the rapist part, because it is commonly accepted that depression is not a reason to murder people.

Not all women have access to an immediate abortion, there are very few places in this country (the US) where a woman can receive one. In the case of very poor women, who can not afford to travel, this is a huge issue.
So you can't really say, "you're lazy if you let it develop". If you really want to help, work to expand safe, affordable abortion into all areas of the country. But until that's happened, you have no right to call anyone "lazy".
