Wish I had been there. I was in Virginia at the Mark Warner (VA-Sen) Victory Party, and it was chaotic, but not like what you saw! I also saw, when I got home, that people just started randomly showing up around the White House and celebrating. I have a friend who lives in Adam's Morgan (DC) and said the streets were INSANE. What an amazing video!! With all my heart, I wish I could have been there. On my lazy street populated by mostly old people, I danced a jig in the street with my 89 y/o neighbor while someone was setting off fireworks on the next street over (it is Pittsburgh! We do fireworks for everything!).

After about 15 minutes, a few more people joined us. On the main street, there were hoots and hollers, but nothing like what you have shared with us. Thank you so much for this video- I'll watch it often!

Being African American wasn't enough reason to vote for Obama this time, so of course it wouldn't be enough reason to vote for him for another term. I (along with the majority of Americans) voted for him because of where he stands on the isssues and because he is far more qualified to lead this country during this economic crisis than his former opponent, who never attended college.
