  • Typical for harlem to be for obama...Obama is nothing but hype. What new world has come? The only thing he brought is him being black

  • Tonya TKO

Thank you for making this video

    Yes we can

    Obama/ Biden 2008 and again in 2012

  • Awesome! This was the best night of the year! Everyone was so happy.

I am so happy I voluntreed for his campiagn for two weeks.

  • there wasnt nothing like that here in tennesse

  • Awesome! I live in Harlem! This was the best night of the year! Everyone is already happier int his country! My mom said this reminds her of JFK, I thought that was great, but then it made me nervous too. Yay!

  • This was an amazing video. I'm originally from Brooklyn, and I wish I could have been back on Election Night. Nonetheless, I enjoyed that night and will never forget it. This captured what Obama supporters all over the country felt. What a historic night it was.

  • da best report of the election

  • What sisterpepperspray said! Wish I could have been there. I could definitely deal with a world this happy every day. From your lips (and fingertips) to God's ears. Yes We Did!

  • Geez that looks like it was exciting, I wish I was there. Beat anything we did in Montana!

  • What a great vid! I wish I could have been there to celebrate with everyone on this momentous occasion. I am sooo looking forward to 2009 and President Obama!

  • I got $500 from my mom because i told her first that Obama von! She was saving this money from the day Obama anounced runing for President. This tells all.

  • I never thought i would live to see this moment in my life. I cried for joy that night, but for me it was bitter sweet, because my great-grand daughter was not alive to see this historical moment. she could tell me when she wss older that she remembered that day. sadly there are some people in this country who do no not understand the greatness of this time.

  • aww I wish I could've been there! I feel the same way those in the streets did now and it's been eleven day!! I love the natural you were rockin' Yes WE DID GObama

  • The work and dreams of many paid off on this historic night. It is now up to every individual to stay inspired and stay informed, acting rather than just talking.

  • Cool video! Yes We Did!

  • Man i wish i was there!!!!! OBAMA '09....YES We Did!

  • This video brings all the excitement of that night right back--I could deal with a world this happy everyday. ;)

    Thanks for capturing history!

  • Great coverage!, it looks like it would be awesome to be there!

  • Wish I had been there. I was in Virginia at the Mark Warner (VA-Sen) Victory Party, and it was chaotic, but not like what you saw! I also saw, when I got home, that people just started randomly showing up around the White House and celebrating. I have a friend who lives in Adam's Morgan (DC) and said the streets were INSANE. Thanks for sharing!

  • I cried for 30 minutes after Obama was announced the victory. We are indeed where we are suppose to be.

Great coverage, Tonya! It brought back tears again, and put a big smile on my face...good way to start the day. :)

  • Thanks for your request, Tonya! I am very happy myself about Obama's win - I used to live in Harlem for 3 ys (Lenox), your video brings me back to my old stomping grounds! I just subscribed to your channel, and I hope you'll do the same with mine...I've got some cool videos! Respect, Kaspar

  • Love it and I knew Obama would win. I don't care what anyone says about him, he is the man for the job. Thanks for the invite to view your video!! Hugs!!

  • Wow - talk about excitement on the streets of Harlem, what a night, I wish I could have been there, dancing along with all of you. Your video makes me feel that I was a part of it, even while being at home. I couldn't have gone into the city anyway, healing up from a lumbar spine fusion done on 10/8 so I wouldn't have been able to go as far as you did, but thank you for making me feel like a part of your night, and what a night it was!! OBAMA!!!!!!!!!

  • So much love - thank you Obama - thank you TKO

  • sweet video go obama

  • heheeh love the ice sculpture! here someone who owns a farm made his ground look like obama, a news helicopter puit it on the news, very cool! and yes we can and yes we did! wish I had been with you that night, that looks awesome hehe :) GO OBAMA

  • What an amazing video!! With all my heart, I wish I could have been there. On my lazy street populated by mostly old people, I danced a jig in the street with my 89 y/o neighbor while someone was setting off fireworks on the next street over (it is Pittsburgh! We do fireworks for everything!).

After about 15 minutes, a few more people joined us. On the main street, there were hoots and hollers, but nothing like what you have shared with us. Thank you so much for this video- I'll watch it often!

  • wish i coulda been there! looks amazing

  • good video, i got drunk and partied wheh i saw he won... sexy smart and awesome president :) thank God!

  • perfect ending - ain't NO stoppin' us now!!

  • lol, cool vid Tonya!!!

  • Oh YES! we can and YES WE DID!

  • thats crazy! no one did anything in my city lol

  • YES WE CAN & YES WE DID !!!! OBAMA 08

  • For some reason it wouldn't let me comment any other way so I had to do a reply. I am very glad that Obama won but not everyone will be happy about the results. I think he will really bring the country together and hopefully give me more opportunities to do conservation work.

  • I love all the excitement! OBAMA!

  • Hey, nice invite to see this vid! Well worth all the filming - I love the excitement on the streets!:D

  • very nice

  • I am so glad Obama won!

  • GO OBAMA!!!

  • Thanks TonyaTko for sending me this video. I was like this in San Francisco and Oakland, Ca!

A great day in History for all! Peace and No more War!

  • I have a question for everyone here, if Obamas' administration turns out to be a failure for the american people, will the fact that he is an african american be enough reason for other African Americans to vote for him again?

  • Being African American wasn't enough reason to vote for Obama this time, so of course it wouldn't be enough reason to vote for him for another term. I (along with the majority of Americans) voted for him because of where he stands on the isssues and because he is far more qualified to lead this country during this economic crisis than his former opponent, who never attended college. Obama, on the other hand, has a Ph.D.

  • Well you say the fact that Obama is an African american wasn't reason to vote for him but if you would watch this video. then there isnt any non-subjective people that would agree with that. I want to understand how you conclude that he is more qualifed to lead the country at this time. Last time you had a liberal legislative and executive office. The United States had double digit inflation and unemployment. I wish the best for my new president, but the past speaks the facts.

  • "I want to understand how you conclude that he is more qualifed to lead the country at this time." This conclusion stems from the admission by John McCain that his strengths are not in the area of economics...which is understandable given his education level. In addition, his running mate only has a BA in Journalism. Obama, on the other hand, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard (Juris Doctor). In addition, he was the president of the Harvard Law Review.

  • Probably not. But no one is thinking that. We have to if we want our country to be what it used to be: a country of opportunity.

  • You may as well start your own show. You're bold and you videos are well done.

  • YAY!!!

thanks for filming this and puttin' it up for us to see.

man, I'm still riding on the clouds a week later.

  • Obama WOOHOO!!!

  • I love your hair.

  • Oh my God what are all the rednecks going to do. There worst fear has come true. There is a smart man in the White House.

    Yhaaa.... Intelligence for a change.

    GOBAMA

  • That result was a:

    OBAMANATION !!!!!

  • That looked like sure fun wish i could of been there!

  • I want my blocked button to hit you... and then I want to feel the wonderful click of the "Mark as Spam" button beneath my fingers... ooooh yeah.

Was it as good for you as it was for me?

Mmmmnn. Sure felt good to me

again congratulations. we weep with overwhelming joy with you!

  • WOW! That was so inspirational and exciting to watch black and white youth partying together it was like watching Martin Luther King Jr. dream finally came true. I can't wait to see the parties that will be in the street on January 20,2009 for Obamas inauguration celebration. Now who is going to give an inauguration party on January 20,2009?

  • macintard --

Even though you're state of Utah voted for McCain, it's my understanding that Salt Lake City voted for Barack -- if so, that's amazing!

I believe the big cities in McCain's Arizona also voted for Barack.

McCain had to resort to little hick towns, many with bigots, to get his votes.

  • F**k Yeah! I voted for Obama and even though my electoral in good ole Utah voted against, he got elected! I'm so happy we're going to see some change! Woo hoo! Time to play some Bob Dylan baby!! Thanks for this great video!

  • awesome video, its so cool to see a massive gathering with no violence, blacks whites ann the races, world wide, barack means the blessed one

  • That video was soooo awesome. Will you marry me.. LOL.. ;)

  • YES WE CAN!!!!

  • That looked so Great is see all people come together for a great cause. i loved seeing the Unity between all and the change that we all need. The restoration of our republic, Constitution, Bill Of Rights, all of our freedoms and justice for all again. i hope that is that change too come is the change we get and need back. If not that Unity i see there and the Unit is feel and see over here stays because it will be needed again.

    God Bless us all!

  • HISTORY!!! YES WE DID!!!

  • Celebrate, celebrate, dance to the music! I'm proud of the American people, including the 43 percent of white males, who voted for Obama. Viva Obama and viva USA!

  • You guys are so lucky to have been in Harlem on Tuesday. The energy looked INSANE! Sadly, I was in dead, boring, not one shout or whistle Austin, TX.

...must remember where I live: Bush/Republican country. Blah!!

Thanks for posting this Tonya! Frickin' awesome! Love it!

  • New Mexico, a red state in 2004, came through for Obama and elected all Democratic delegates to Congress. Revolution is here!

  • "We have spoken!"

  • OBAMA FTW!

  • yes we can ya

  • I was in front of the Apollo on 125st

me and about 10 of my friends cheering

    screamin etc.......

one of the best days of my life experiencing that

  • That was a dope vid. I feel like I was there.

  • thanks for sharing tonya. this is awesome.

  • Beautiful video :)

I say don't consider the police. Where there is love there should remain love and nuttin but love.

Cop's job is to keep the peace, not take it away.

Tell OBAMA to tell the cops to leave the people alone.

    One Love :)

  • I noticed people from the NE have harsh accents.

  • beautiful celebration for a most auspicious occasion. that was fun to watch.

    President Obama!

  • gongratz on your victory it whas history indeed. MLK dream finaly came true.

bless the great obama and usa..

gr a obama fan from holland

  • Obama!!!

  • wow looks like yall had a great time! thanks for sharing with us tonya=)

  • that looked crazy and fun wish I could have been there to experience it

  • I hope Obama lives up to all the good will he has. After Bush, America needs a major healing & re-structuring. But sadly I don't expect all the draconian laws Bush has brought in will be repealled & only time will tell whether Obama will deliver on those election promises. Lets see an end to Iraq first and soon... not dragged out for months into years! Then start looking for REAL solutions to Afghanistan that don't end up in MORE wars & more innocent cilvilian deaths!

  • just goes to show you can be any color doesnt matter, and never mattered... if you set your mind to it.. you CAN and WILL achieve and CHANGE everything you ever wanted!!!!!!

    :)

i am subscribed good vibes here... lookin forward to your videos!

  • Awesome!

  • I love New York

  • tonya. did you knew barack full name?

barrack hussein obama. i sugjest you do some reserch too i cant find all the info by myself. i need some help to get records straight. is obama for us or against us this is really important.

  • first obama didnt name his middle name his parents okay..so he had no choice..

second..just becuz of sum1 middle name iz the middle name of a famous terriost doesnt mean the have the same sick mind as the person

  • first saddam isnt really a terrorist. he is however a dictator and did commit unforgivable genocides. but should you know those famillys are all into oil buisness wich connect to banking cartels that control your god damn governemnt for the pass 200 years. thats why its so damn important

  • well itz not cuz obivously hiz win waz betta than knowing his friggin middle name youh just want evidence he iz a so caleed "dictator" go rain on sumbody elses parade

and who did youh vote for?

  • i never said he was i said saddam were.

    geez

  • w.e

  • Honey, you should see from my videos, I traveled thru the middle east. I don't have a problem with Muslims. Much like you don't judge all christians by timothy McVeigh, or the Uni-Bomber.

I could care less about Obama's Middle name. This victory is LARGER than Obama. Larger than some letters, and LARGER than this country. His victory has changed the world for the better, JUST by him making it. By US making it.

    -Tko

  • thank youh tonya ppl just are szo hard to get through

  • Hussein is pretty common name in the arabic world. It means The Handsome One (so in this case it certainly fits!).

When I was in the USA, one of the things that everybody was telling me is that you teach children that everybody can become the president. Everybody. Not just people with names like John, Bill or George.

so your comment makes not sense.

  • Beautifully said. I myself am from arab parents.

  • hussein is actually a very popular name. i have a good friend named hussein, but that doesn't mean he's a bad person or wants to do harm to the US. don't judge him based on what his parents named him. that's extremely unfair

  • i was there

  • Rilly? Which one were you ;-)

    -Tko

  • God Bless America, its good to see folks so happy. this is a very positive video.

  • Dude is right. It's not as good as you name it out to be.

    It's better.

  • lolol

  • Well done, thanks for sharing this moment with us.

  • I love the energy Obama has brought to us.. he has united us all as people and I am glad to have lived to see this day!!! I wish I had purchased the newspaper cuz it costs an arm and a leg on ebay!! :-(

  • FREAKEN AWESOME!

  • ya! obama o 8!

  • Girl, you are making miss home. Harlem know how to do it. OBAMA OBAMA OBAMA.

    What a celebration!

The cops never like when harlem is celebrating, that every where though to tell the truth.

    Go on TonyaTko celebrate.
