The whole basis of the flds is that god doesnt change his mind, thats how they claim they are right and mormons are wrong its the opening on they're website. They dont hide as long as you support them with money. Im ashamed to say but my father and our family are "apostates" but he still has sympathy for them and gives them money, and he was allowed to see his mother not to long ago. I have alot of mixed feelings about this because i know how much he missed her, but cant figure out why after all this time and after all they "and i mean family who i love and warren" can do this stuff to themselves and there family. Its hard to understand.

If these people had nothing to hide, why then, do they isolate themselves? Why do they not allow visitors to their compounds? Why are family members on the outside not allowed to visit? Surely these people have nothing to hide, are proud of their beliefs and way of life? Why not share it with us sinners in that we can see the righteous way and join them? Is it because they KNOW we will be disgusted and appalled - I guess we all know the answer to that one.

If you read the biographies, these old pedophiles fight over the prettiest young girls and marry dozens of them. They claim visions from God to get the girls to submit then neglect them and their dozens of children. Often they live in squalor and dirt poverty. I have read of one outhouse for 5 wives and 18 children. These guys have created cult compounds and as of yet I have not witnessed any cults that create anything positive.

I don't see how anyone LDS or otherwise could condone these creeps. If they did not have so much money, they would have been shut down long ago. The old testament has polygamy all over. Jacob, also known as Isreal had numerous wives. Leah and Rachel to name a few. Abraham had many wives. And David? Forget David...he had hundreds.....But the Lord still loved them. That's right. They are still in the bible. Their stories were not blotted out inspite their iniquity. God chooses whom he loves. Boys are just as abused as girls in the FLDS. Warren Jeffs nephew says that he was sexually abused by Jeffs many times. Carolyn Jessup, the plural wife and mother of 8 who escaped the compound, relates a form of water torture (similar to waterboarding) which her husband used on each of his 40+ children during infancy to "break" them and instill in them a terror of their father. Waterboarding infants! So what if Warren was abused too? He's still accountable for his actions.

Jeffs has no means of getting out of jail. He was talking to one of his male cohorts-in-crime from the cult, to get a message out. The video was recorded by the prison. I think he's trying to preserve the group by taking himself out of the picture and naming a new leader, Jessup. Of course, if Jeffs isn't the true prophet and never has been, why should anyone listen to him when it comes to naming a new leader? He's counting on the obedience of the brainwashed moms & kids.
