Angie was actually Keith Richards daughter (Dandilion Angela) who was born just prior to Keith writing the song. Although he swears Angie was just a name and it has no significance (apparently it was a Catholic hospial who made Anita add a proper name in addition to Dandilion.)

So who knows..... But, he WAS in rehab when he wrote the song. He had just spent 3 days going cold turkey, clawing at the wall. Kind of a beautiful end to that nightmare anyway.
