Whenever they did the renovation in 74' it took away everything that was great about the old Yankee Stadium. The new one actually looks more like the stadium in 1923. The problem is that the douped their fans in favor of giving rich people who don't even watch the game better sightlines. Now they can't even sell the Legends suites because they're so expensive and fans can't even try to get autographs from the players, not that they got them before.

I don't understand why they bothered to put in all those outdoor seats without suite access? If the stadium was designed, as he says it was, with only the comfort and desires of the luxury market, why waste time and space on single seating. The new Yankee Stadium looks like it's pretty empty or half empty. Those seats behind home plate are an eyesore to the viewer. How does one stay interested when those seats are unfilled? The Yankee brass bucked this one up big time. This stadium looks like one big memorial/shrine that favors to the rich and kicked your typical bleacher creature from the Bronx out.

Plus the new stadium has the same monument park, a new amazing museum, the best, most varied, and greatest food options anywhere stadium or not. They even have sushi and kosher food. It is beautiful no matter where you look. There are no lines to wait in because for every section there are vendors and its easy to walk anywhere you want...

The old stadium was classic New York, even with the renovations, it had charm and history. The new stadium is everything that is wrong with New York, completely corporate, big business, and trying way too hard.

im on the flip side of things I feel that the design of the new stadium shouldve been what the renovated stadium looked like in the first place. the only problem i see is the ridiculous lower level ticket pricing being that you get corporate stiffs with no emotion instead of real fans that show opposing teams what a NYY crowd is supposed to be like. but as far as the design I love it. it looks like i couldve came from the old stadium

Not true. The "excess" of the new stadium actually helps the economy. The New Yankee stadium created 1000s of new jobs to the public. You should really do some research.

I don't understand why they bothered to put in all those outdoor seats without suite access? If the stadium was designed, as he says it was, with only the comfort and desires of the luxury market, why waste time and space on single seating. I suppose it looks better on tv and the decision was made to keep the seats for the sake of the tv market. I can envision the first revovation with a series of recessed suits filling the entire stadium. And for God's sake, no one under 21 allowed in!!!

They should put a sign in each suite that says, "A fool and his money will soon part." Why would anyone want to be in a room with a tv watching the game when you could be in a seat outside? And, why would you want to eat at a stadium and not watch the game? It makes no sense at all. Go out to eat dinner at a really good place and then go watch the game.

Wind seems to be an issue in the new Stadium. 7 homeruns in two games amazing. 2 foul pole hits, that's 1 in a million. Guaranteed the wind issue will be addressed somehow by baffling certain areas.
