Rob - the survivalist in Seattle - does he know that the Pacific NW is being hammered with radiation from Fukushima? Can't survive on irradiated food grown in the garden outside.
I see all these vids about the end of the world this and that. Now is stock piles of food at your house smart lets put this into a real life demo . You have a house hold of food and a town of hungry people. 1 draws 2 2 draws 3 next you have 10 then 20. soon you are over run and killed or just run off. I know some will say i have 1000 guns well you wont kill a town off before they kill you. Im just sayin is all lol. Dont come running to me when all the you tubers come after all your food.
Being Fore-Warned is being Fore-Armed and that is half of the Battle Won!
But what impresses me is that even our more liberal friends are starting to come around to the fact that we are in a Severe Economic Crisis, & that if we do Not change course, we are headed over the cliff to Govt Rationing, Famine and Starvation. Positioning yourself for Surviving a Crisis is just Smart Planning and worth the Investment.

Odd how this is seen as extreme! His lifestyle is pretty normal in much of the world. In my part of the world. I walk everywhere, buy flour, rice, sugar, tea, oil etc in bulk, garden and bake my own bread. I know how to pickle food and how to make jam. I can also brew beer. I thought I was just a normal british old guy--everyone I know is pretty much the same. We did have a crisis here--the war--and this man is right. It's shortage and rationing you need to prepare for, not flesh eating zombies
@AptivaXL Sorry. Hit post before finishing. I meant to say that leaving the country won't do you any good the economic collapse ends up being a global disaster.

wow, leave the country. So, it'll be better elsewhere!
Why would the farmers stop growing our food? Our grandparents live in a different time they needed that much people on their farms. We don't need that much, they can produce all the food we need, even in bad economy or depression...
would you believe it cost a small fortune to plant 400 acres of food and they all get loans to do it. if they cant get loans the food doesn't get planted.
@ameetcoeur sadly many local farms in south west Nebraska are paid by tax payers not to grow anything, so the land sets idle.
a massive effort to teach children to grow food, to can, dry and freeze food would make this nation quite strong again.
My mother told in 1929 when the depression hit, there was little notice of it as they grew their own food& medicine, made their own cloths, and cut their own firewood.

What kind of seed produces $3000, pot, hemp?

chyea this would really work if zombies attacked

A garden can grow you food, medicine, tools and even weapons.
One seed can produce 3,000 in 4 months.
try putting a dollar in the bank and getting back $3,000 in 4 months.
mellow does it, seeds, not gold, not silver not guns. plants will do it all
donze52 2 years ago

@ahoyhoy79
Seed is little good if bugs, and hoppers eat most of a harvest,
wild gourd leaves stops that cold for free.
