Is skill required to play this game on harder difficulties or is it butto mashing and lucky? Is it hard, I like hard games and I'm thinking about picking this one up. Also does anyone know if you have to play with the analog stick or you can play with the D pad?

@AllanSanches You wont get far if you are a button smasher in harder difficulties. This game can be extreme hard. You can use the stick and the pad.

@AllanSanches : Killer Instinct is as far away from being a button-masher as fighting games get. You can't do any of the moves or combos without doing specific commands. If anything, KI is more about memory with the 'auto-double' system where a button combination gives you 3 or 4 extra hits and then linking them together in a string. You also can add in you own manual hits if linked properly.

@vernaculos it's cuz Rare was bought by Microsoft (the people who make the xbox 360). i don't completely understand it cuz there has been a new Banjo-Kazooie game (but it was not the same as the first 2 haha). but anyway, i did hear a rumor about Rare CONSIDERING the idea of remaking the first 2 K.I. or making a new one. but yeah, fingers crossed! :)

since everyone's into cross overs (Marvel vs. Capcom, MK vs. DC, Tekken vs, Street Fighter, Smash Bros), I think Ultimate MK vs. Killer Instinct would work. I'm sure that would have to go through a platoon of lawyers before that ever happened, but I think those two games would blend well. The crazy combos, loud announcers, fatalities, joke finishing moves, they'd be a natural fit.
