best high school marching band ever: uths marchin panthers state 2008 "on the edge" PART 2

your kidding me. Not that great of a selection. My band has already done october, along with many other HSMB's. It's really a cliche opener for a marching band piece, i have to say that our opener and my directors arrangement of it was a thousand times better than whoever arranged this did it. This is way too short for an opener. Not hating, great show, but the opener... not that great...

My only guess is this is just a really young band. UT scored the lowest at this competition by three or four points than it had in many years. I was still shocked they didn't make it to finals, just like everyone else.

@Masterchi77 because it's pretty rare for a HIGH SCHOOL marching band to appreciate music like this, we worked for months on this show, only to get screwed in the end by three judges who didnt think we deserved to continue on to finals after 25+ years of getting in, they gave us the lowest ranking possible so we couldnt make it. It's terrible to work so hard for nothing.

@steevo7111 i agree that it's terrible to work that hard to end up with nothing. i do appreciate music LIKE that, just music that is played more cleanly.. The judges don't care if you got in for 25+ years, they're impartial. They just rate what they see the way they see it, their aim wasn't to offend you. Bands can change drastically within a short period of time, it might've just been a bad year for you guys..

@Masterchi77 No, they actually got fired for doing that, we got some of the higher scores from almost all of the other judges and some ruined it for us, so it's not that we were bad, it's that we got screwed over by two ignorant people.
