3. Cont: ...the air (Air Force), but that does not mean we emulate them. We are the only force that is trained to employ combined arms in a quickly maneuverable, expeditionary unit. The Corps is the US's middle weight fighting force that can adjust to any fight that the MAGTF needs to take on for the US; HADR, contigency ops, amphibious deployment, etc. The Corps is a self-sustaining jack of all trades; to compare it as an emulation of another service is absolutely wrong.

3. Finally, the Corps does not "emulate" anyone of the other services. Sure, we fight on the ground (Army), we sail aboard ships (Navy), and we fight in the
2. The Corps does not solely rely on the Army for MOS training facilities. Now, for big ticket items like Tankers (OCCFld 18xx), Arty (08xx), etc, then it only makes sense to colocate the training for both branches so that they operate under the same basic tenet of employing the weapon systems. Also, let's not forget that where a lot of this training occurs is dictated by the DoD, the SecDef Leon Panetta, and the fiscal constrains imposed by Congress.

3. Cont: ...the air (Air Force), but that does not mean we emulate them. We are the only force that is trained to employ combined arms in a quickly maneuverable, expeditionary unit. The Corps is the US's middle weight fighting force that can adjust to any fight that the MAGTF needs to take on for the US; HADR, contigency ops, amphibious deployment, etc. The Corps is a self-sustaining jack of all trades; to compare it as an emulation of another service is absolutely wrong.

Now, for big ticket items like Tankers (OCCFld 18xx), Arty (08xx), etc, then it only makes sense to colocate the training for both branches so that they operate under the same basic tenet of employing the weapon systems. Also, let's not forget that where a lot of this training occurs is dictated by the DoD, the SecDef Leon Panetta, and the fiscal constrains imposed by Congress.

Since the Army has more money, they are the TM sponsor, which equates to them having their name first on TMs. The same weapons are used by a slew of branches.
