if wages and benefits were adequate, we would never need unions, but fact is we need unions, need to stand together.globalization is a big lie..check out the paid vacation/sick days mandated by law in most of the wester world..the us workers are seen as laughing stock a productive nation that makes shareholders happy, and demonizes workers, pits public/private against each other, spins and controls media, and fools clueless rubes.Wake Up, Republocrats do not care wether you can feed your family
@TheHobbgobblin And if Unions weren't made up of lazy socialists content to beg like dogs on a leesh of the government who cut their balls off, maybe they'd band together, pool their money, and open their own factories and Worker Cooperative Companies like they do in Europe if they get pissed enough. But noooo, the Unions in America just don't have the pride to be independent, they'd rather bargain.
You produce the grain serf, that bag of oats is only your cut after the king has his fill.
The take away point I get is what I've seen in the telecom industry...if it can be outsourced overseas or in Mexico, companies will do that because the regulations, wagesand taxes are lower. The American worker is the most productive, yet we cannot compete with engineers in India that work for 75% less than myself. The future isn't look so great.
