Just try throwing a really high single then a really high flat. I find the flat to be much harder, might be just me though.

I cannot do a 3 club 3 up in singles, but in flats I can, because that's just "no spin" - with singles I have to make them spin, but very little. And the amount of spin depends on the height etc; with flats it's the same amount of spin no matter how high it goes.

Yeah, well, it deppends on the juggler. For some is easier to do singles, and for others is easier to do flats. You're right about the transition into crotches...
