For Ipad - if it is a different play experience - I set up a line through the top two diamond shapes (The three dots in a line), it seemed to work.

Had to modify it before it worked. It's a bit disappointing how inconsistent it can be. At least this gave me a base to start with. Not too hard to solve but 3 stars is a challenge.

Order did matter, however I found out that if you do it in the wrong order all you have to do is add crossbeams to the junctions between the y's. Single one in the top and 3 short ones in the middle one.

The right order for the one in the video is the center ys first, the top ones next, the outer layer third and last the bottom one which is actually a V not a Y.
