@lobotomiez $500 each deck when i got em 10-11 years ago. $600 for the mixer. $500 for serato when i got it a while back. $1300 on the laptop, which is about 5-6 yrs old now. $150 for each needle. and....umm....yeah $700 on the mackie monitor have currently, and bout $150 on coffin and X stand. All in all, bout $4,500 total not including the thousands of dollars in past mixers and needles i have been through
@fatshoolaces Dude, A good dj is track selection and timing. 95% of the floor dosen't care how the track is played and that 5% are dj's who Don't understand that although you have to look at the past to sound good, you dont have to follow it as well. Let other people do what they want. Your never going to get any better unless you try somthing new, and timecode is so limiting it kills some (not all) of the creative vibe...
@DJRyanCasey Yeah, I totally agree with you... Im just sayin, - considering he hasnt been doin this very long, hes got pretty good control and a good understanding of loops, bars, control, etc.
Been DJing over 20 years now, n Ive forgotten more stuff than most noobs will stick around to learn.. So its nice 2 see DJ Finesse1 puttin the effort in n learnin the style of DJing that HE wants to do... : )
@DJRyanCasey erm, I never mentioned timecode.... Im tryin to say - DJing came from RECORDS, from two RECORD PLAYERS, and being able to master them to control a dancefloor. Im sick of posers who say theyre DJs but all they do is automix mp3s or cds, tweak eqs n filters, mix 'bum ts bum ts bum ts' all night. Thats CRAP. The point is - I can tear shit up on 1210s AND I can also mix with cd decks and mp3 controllers. But people who learn on cd dex/mp3 controllers mostly cant use decks. Thats sad.
@DJRyanCasey Not hatin.. I just think its sad and laughable when people who cant rock doubles, scratch, blend one live drummer track into another live drummer track, set up a turntable/eq/mixer correctly, strip and diagnose and repair their own equipment, etc. call theirselves DJs.
Picking a start point on a waveform and pressing a button to play it is soulless and unoriginal. And takes NO skill...( I taught my son to do it in 5 mins)
My mans doubles above take LOTS of skill. Bet u cant do em.
If this was not a perfect routine then...i wonder what that sounds like. this was SICK dude!!! Loved the part where u slowed it down too shit was ill man
@DjStaxx if u read a lil more carefully man, you would have seen i said what your saying to me to someone esle if that makes any sense. Shit, my old school is late 80s early 90s
What I like about this is that he's letting the song play for a bit, it's not just pyrotechnic beat juggling. He's letting the song breathe, and his beat matching is so tight that both records are being heard at the same time, when the crossfader is centered, with no flamming. Tight!

@leksbeat i signed up for 3 yr mnfctrs warranty so bout every 6 months or so i request they send me new ones, they all start cracking through the center after enough abuse
@kingrat444 Serato doesn't make it any easier to juggle, whatsoever... the only difference is you dont have put stickers on the record grooves to cue it with the needle anymore, which i think we can all agree is a good thing! but again it doesn't give you any juggling skills, those you have to learn! i've never heard of juggling by watching the waveforms, that would be a nightmare
Respect!!! that was fucking DOPE!!!! I lost my shit at 1:36 dude!!!! I find that comment about waveforms and being harder just by ear to be pretty funny too... guess anyone that doesn't have any experience or is lacking in knowledge can be an expert in what's proper!! LOL Respect dude.. that was a dope routine!!!! I haven't touched vinyl in like 2 years before 2 days ago.. i'm just gettin back in the swing of things.. hehe.. gimme a sec to put up something decent :P
Bruh, 0:35-0:55 was cold! You snapped wit dat. I'm working on my scratching as well and trying to get to that level. Keep up the good work. I have some vids as well that I'm uploading this month.
@kingrat444 yeah dude for real. Haha no one can juggle like he just did man you need to use the markers. You should use the markers all the time. RECORDS not the screen, much more accurate and will make you a much better DJ
the stickers are my marks so i know where each sound is at, longs for my 12 o clock 1s, the yell/orng circle for the first hat around 9 o clock and then the long the rest of the way out. green one was pointless, just there
that s pretty funny, why do you think i have my records marked up. i can not juggle for shit trying to use wave forms, nearly impossible for myself, way easier to go by ear and mark
@djfinesse1 fuckin rights man me too, some guy i work with said he just started to learn how to juggle, so i go to his place and check it out; he got his eyes glued to the screen.
also dudes slappin the shit out of the vinyls and the needle jumps an inch each time he tries to bring it back.
i happen to learn on two vinyls, not even serato. fuck talk about learning to be smooth when if the needle jumps your out of whack.
point is your absolutely right, mark you vinyls and watch it.
good stuff, Good tune too, Im practicing juggling too, I got some crappy Gemini Turntables but I also have serato scratch live. Keep the beat flowing, im feelin it
yo thats da real shit mane!!! I hope dis shit is never a lost art people like you and me gotta teach da kids dat never even started on real vinyl yaknawudimSayn!! props playa
