The band had a ton of energy just like when I saw them in 93', but Layne looks like a frail statue. When I saw them he was shirtless and full of energy.

Amazing that heroin took him down so quickly. It'll bring any person down, but it seemed that he went from fine to a corpse in about 2-2.5 years. He must have been hitting it insanely hard.

He began using Crack and Heroin around 1991, so it would be 5 years not 2-2.5. But regardless, I saw a friend of mine who was destroyed by Heroin within a year and lost so much weight that he looked liked a twig. It's horrible.
