Was thinking of getting this but it seems they spring the same pitfalls as PD and GT5 did. I think GT5s carrer seems alot more fun, but forzas multiplayer seems better.

But both games lack realistic racing events and series aswell as online championships =(

Release a racing game with built-in UI for online championships and a broad community for it, and it will wipe the floor with these games...

@Soulless99, OH GOD NO, don't buy GT5 for its career mode, it's horrible IMO. Where GT5 shines is in its driving physics. I can sum GT5 up like this: Excellent driving feel, Horrible Career mode, 200 (awesome) premiums cars and 800 bad modelled standard cars (some of them looks like a joke, just upscaled early PS2 graphics...). I think this game looks much, much better as a whole, sorry GT5. Shame I don't have an Xbox...

personally i think that the kinect is a great addition to the game... maybe not for core racing, if im gonna hot lap i wouldnt use kinect for headtracking or certainly not racing... but messing around with some friends who come over, hanging out and to just to be able to jump in, play for 5 min each or something like that it would be a great thing to use

Forza doesn't pretend to be a simulator, it's not arcade either if you sue the more advanced difficulty settings, like nfs shift it's somewhere straddling the line between arcade and simulator.

@URsuckishATlife GT5's physics aint that good for 1. It doesnt have any tire modeling at all which forza 3 had with Michelin and with Forza 4 it's all Pirelli data, 2. The aero modeling was poor I can put full downforce on an lmp or an F1 car on GT5 and It'll easily go over 220+ In forza that doesnt happen and lastly GT5 has poor damage and damage is part of the physics and in Forza 3 U smash the wall U destroy the front bumper, suspension, brakes, steering etc and Forza 4 will destroy GT5

For me, if anyone knows it would be the guys from Inside Sim Racing and others, i.e. those who know more about sim racing than those here on youtube and have hands-on experience with Forza 4. Now if they had problems with the physics, then fair enough, but they don't, in fact it's the reverse, and therefore I take their word over anyone basing their opinion on just videos.

If so, that's the problem, Forza 4 has an all new physics engine written from scratch using tire data direct from Pirelli, where Turn 10 themselves say the difference in the feel of the car is significant compared to their earlier attempts, and hands-on reports appears to support that. So let's wait and see. :-)

And what's more, for those who don't have Kinect, the game is the same (actually better) than it would have been had Kinect never existed, hence they are not losing anything. I say 'better' because Turn 10 have credited Kinect with the improvements in the graphics, because the idea of Auto Vista came out of Kinect, and they found that getting so close to the car required a big improvement in the graphics, and those improvements spread into the rest of the game :)

FM4 didnt just concentrate on graphics or phisics, but also the game play mode and variety of different choices of games, this is what makes FM4 better than GT5, and also its logic how GT5 took 5 - 6 years and FM4 took 2 years and has better things than GT5

Dan has said that they now have an option to turn off the steering assist in FM4, that is great news, I just hope they add more tire smoke to the wheel spin graphics, otherwise this is looking otherworldly good, day one purchase and I would stand with anyone who purchased a 360 just for this title.

Damn there's alot of GT5 haters....F%#@ you all I'll take GT3 over any racing game, if it's wasn't for that game, graphics wouldn't be where they are today in any game.

And to me both Forza and GT5 have the ups and downs. Forza has better sound, GT5 will probably have better physics. Graphics to me on the car are better on GT5, with Forza not far behind, but the tracks look much better on Forza.

We'll all have to see what it's like when it comes out.
