  • I love those desert like areas, so many places in NJ like this. Its just too bad there arent many buses down there. That spot in Wharton is just amazing. So many great shapes. I did see you got hour hair and beard cut. As cool as the piney look is, I dont think the ladies dig it..lol

  • @PinePowerLI

I don't think the ladies dig it. I think you're probably quite right.

Yes, that is an amazing place there, but we have a lot of such places here. On a side note, it would be interesting to add up the total acreage of all preserved land within the Pinelands National Reserve. I'm sure it's a huge number. But it would be difficult to add it all up, since acreages are being added all the time.

  • I know thats the cool thing about NJ, just miles and miles of nothing but pines. I bet the reserve is bigger than the state of Rhode Island, or perhaps, even Long Island!

  • @PinePowerLI

You got me wondering, so I looked it up on Wikipedia. Rhode Island's total area is 1545 sq. mi., Long Island's land area is 1401 sq. mi., and the land area of the Pinelands National Reserve is just over 1800 sq. mi. It's usually given in acres, so I had to convert it, using my Convert program.

  • So the Pinelands is larger than Long Island! Wow. Truly astonishing. If I had a car I'd definately be checking all those different areas out, though I think its impossible to explore every area in one's lifetime, thats how huge it is.

  • If only everyone would care about the forest like you and john and shane. It would be a better world. Do you ever see any snakes?I new that was a new haircut. Peace
