The rough estimates are about 8 to 9 million died in all of the various concentration camps-- from starvation, injuries, sickness, being shot, and gassed. At least 3 million additional people died on the street from the Einsatzgruppon, who gathered the jews/dissidents in ghettos and exterminated them.

I don't think this is a song that expresses Nazi sympathies. The rough estimates are about 8 to 9 million died in all of the various concentration camps-- from starvation, injuries, sickness, being shot, and gassed. At least 3 million additional people died on the street from the Einsatzgruppon, who gathered the jews/dissidents in ghettos and exterminated them.

And even so, what's shockingly inhumane about the holocaust was not the sheer number of deaths, it was the manner in which those in camps were brutally murdered-- by being gassed, or being strategically worked to death by calculating their caloric/nutrional intake.

I agree with you Synoymer, Iceland is fucking amazing... You can feel the presence of the Norse gods just by looking at the scenery. Rather, I think this is a song singing about the post world war 2 and onto the post cold war era in which many promises were given and many opportunities were exploited after each era for the self-interest of the victorious leaders that to this day keep feeding the world lies of a better future that will come out after the dust and blood has settled.

Hmmm... That's definitely the most interesting interpretation of this lyrics i have read up to yet. His Lyrics are quite abstract and cryptic, and the interpretation ain't easy at all. I think it's lyrics which are revisionist and deny holocaust but it can't be proved anyway. He's Douglas P. and not Adrian Borland, who's lyrics are more concrete, but not that fascinating...

He can actually be stating that the rose clouds created by the Holocaust were based on "bitter, bitter lies" (prejudice against jews, gypsies, homosexuals [like Pearce himself], etc]. There is even a sign IN Auschwitz today stating that they are "reconstructed," as has already been known and verified by dozens of investigators over the years. Where are the sources that the gas chambers ARE authentic? I have yet to see any that aren't based on unverifiable claims.

The 6 million figure has long ago dropped. First Auchwitzs claimed 4 million then 2,5 million and then 1.5 million and now they are less then million.

@baelthedemon I see this site, and nothing you say is accurate. The Red Cross says most death certificates and other Aushwitz records were burned/destroyed by the Nazis and allies. Google "evidence of genocide at Auschwitz, and click the BBC link. Everything you say is completely and easily refuted (including the BS about number of deaths reduced). We all hate political correctness, but when idiotic conservatives challenge it-- they form a revisionist history.

What you are saying that red cross would have had their head corder in Auchwitz concentration camps. @baelthedemon Third, we have tens of thousands of detailed documnetation from the NAZIs of approximately 10-12 million jews who were held in the camps-- half of which DIED. The German Census demonstrated that approximately 87% of its jewish residents who loved in German in 1940--died in the holocaust. Europe-wide, about 75% of its jews. Most of them were not gassed-- many were killed in the camps by other means. Or, on the streets by the Einsatsgrupon. To "debate" the holocaust is retarded

And Catholics, and Eastern Orthodox. The vast majority were WASPS, which I proved and I could prove easily again. And you're not that bright-- the holocaust is now a Soviet lie? HAHA! Forget the census records showing that European jews were eradicated by at least 84% from 1940- 1945.

Actually census records suggest the exact opposite. The World Almanac shows that the world jewish population rose by several thousand over the years of the second world war, which is certainly less than it would normally increase, but of course the same could be said for any population due to the war. What census are you referring to?
Many of those behind the US slave trade were jews. Many were negroes as well. At any rate you have lost your argument that there were no US jews.

Big deal, so were Muslims, blacks, and WASPS-- the biggest racial bloc involved in the slave trade. A large number of jews opposed the slave trade, so your theory is baseless. Also, google Hofle Telegram, sent to Adolf Eichmann, detailing that in line with the Final Solution, by 1943, 1, 274, 166 Jews were killed in the Aktion Reinhard Camps (excluding Aushwitz).

National governments and the Jews themselves kept maticulous Census records. After Hitler's Final Solution, there were only 10 million jews. These are the numbers as reporte-- there has never been a revision. You keep clinging to BS mythologies and evidence with zero credibility.

Perhaps I too am a historian, and perhaps WW2 is my speciality as well? That is not a credential.
There were indeed gas chambers, and there was indeed a hydrocyanide gas called Zyklon B used in those chambers. But they weren't used for executions. They were used for containment of typhus and other insect- and lice-borne disease that were and are common in that type of environment.
