@1960pontiac ah okay its a hardtop, the best version of this big beauty... Im currently restoring mine, and i hope the 389 will find its way back into the car this week :D
I have a 1966 4Dr my grandfather purchased new in 66. it has 389 2barrel with factory air. has 76k miles original on it. my older sister got it first her dumbass husband let the heater core leak and it rusted fuse box he cut the wires lost the fuse box, i have it not currently looking for fuse box. hope to have it runnin soon. nice car by the way.
I have access to this very car, and I'll clarify a few things:
The rusted, now lost fuse box, which is $400 to replace along with the dash harness, rusted because of a long-term windshield leak, along with the entire bottom of the dash. The trunk floor is also rusted through in 8 places because of a disregarded leak. The car has 101,000 miles, not 76,000
Lastly, despite all the previous neglect, it WILL run and drive again.
i had 73 catalina coupe i sold it, she was my first car 400 cubic inch block powersteering loved that car damn kids key the hell out of the side i was pissed i going to take to the car show the next when my dad told me what happen
