To be honest, I'm glad they aren't releasing so much info on halo 4. Think about it, in Halo Reach they hyped up so much shit that everyone was just dying and excited for... and then a lot of people were disappointed when the game came out. They probably aren't advertising halo 4 so much because they don't want you to think it'll be the best game in the universe like what bungie did with halo reach. I'm sure they're hard at work since they've taken over such a big title game.

If i'm correct I think I saw in an interview with someone from 343i saying that the halo 4 beta will not be accessed through Halo:Anniversary, but I don't remember them saying anything about reach. If they really wanted to put the beta out there they should do it through reach since the amount of people who have it is huge.

Halos not over and will take a while for this game series to be over, (they have been working on H4 since 2009) The story is emmense and has so much to it. The trailer made it look like a good continuum of Master Chiefs story becuz unlike cod they dont copy and paste an engine for 3 years, but learn the story and you will be surprised. And they are trying to keep suspense. Wait and see

I want not so much as a beta, but actual information about the game. I really wish I knew SOMETHING, hell ANYTHING about Halo: 4. I want somem plot points, multiplayer videos, beta would be nice, maybe some trailers and dev commentaries. Even OXM and GameInformer have NOTHING on Halo:4.

I have a feeling the Beta is going to be something that is going to be announced at E3. I personally think there going to show a Gameplay Demo and then say Oh the MP beta is going to be on Xbox Live right now, as well why wouldent they? Theres no MSG studios games scheduled to release till this fall, plus with an open Beta they would get much more data and with no Halo News so far it just makes sence. As for armour Abilities, I really dont think there even going to be called that any more.

I can guarantee that Halo4 will have a beta. Most of 343i are old bungie employees and theyre intelligent enough to understand why a beta is needed. Saying that, I think the beta will be during the summer, june, july, or maybe august, to create hype for the game and translate it into sales. Thats what BF3 tried to do and I think 343i will take their idea and do it correctly.

I actually said the Beta would probably be 4-ish months before the game comes out. I'm also willing to put $100 down right now that there will be armor abilities in Halo 4. Like it or not.

Why would 343 go back to AA's if AA's is what made Halo Reach have a COD feel. I'm 1000% sure that 343 is going to the Halo 3 direction, not Reach. I can only see forge world coming to Halo 4.

@Sujanthan14 This is true, but 343 also said they would be freshening up the game a bit because the Halo 2 / Halo 3 / Halo: Reach gameplay style has been becoming more stagnant comparatively. I expect to see a fusion of classic Halo elements with Halo: Reach elements (basically only armor abilities). But I also think how the game feels and plays will take a different turn. Just my interpretation.

@Sujanthan14 AAs are more similar to team fortress classes than anything cod. cod uses perks which are slight advantages and no disadvantage to balance gameplay. say what you want about reach but AAs were balanced in terms of each having pros and cons.

halo 4 will probably have its own dynamic. a "true" halo game is different from its predecessor. halo 1 and 2 are nothing alike. just ike 3 and reach are nothing alike.

I completely agree. A beta is necessary to test any flaws a game has, but I don't think they'll put it in another game because then some people won't think its worth it and then they won't buy the game.
