wonderfully done, mommy! But omg!! Do you think the nurse could've shoved the tube and anything else into the baby's mouth at least a hundred more times?! Poor baby! Waterbirth is suppose to be a calm birth for baby!!
The reason my (wonderful) midwife did that was because baby girl passed some meconium. She was just making sure the baby didn't aspirate it (could cause major problems such as pneumonia).
