@MingGuoLi Hard to say. By Soviet classification Sierra and Akula were multirole submarines. They had combination of torpedos, torpedos-missiles, missiles and anti-aircraft weapons. Victor submarines are designated as hunter submarines and they had only torpedoes/torpedoes-missiles. Victors don't have weapons which can be launched from other places than torpedo tubes. Only the last 671RTMK subs received cruise missiles "Granat".
Are there particularly roles for the Sierra and Akula that the Victor didn't do?
