Asimo, due to his hight has a longer stride so can run better, The QRIO was the first to run though, Qrio also dances really well, nice and smooth movements.

running is technically all the force put on all your toes and the ball of your foot, this is speed walking not running, but they can make it better it will just take alot of work with the leans and physics of the little bot to actualy put presure on maybe some padded toe , much like a bionic leg that disabled runners use, just takes time.

It is technically running, but the distance of both feet off the ground is so small that you can't really see in the video.

I don't think QRIO could ever run with larger steps, unless it grew some toes. Right now, it's like running with high heels or swim flippers. ;p

erh... I think you're wrong ^^; Or... either that I'm wrong... but that would mean I'm running 6 miles in the wrong manner every day and run all my CC/Track meets incorrectly. Both of your feet are supposed to leave the ground when you are running, if you don't then its just jogging or power walking. My sprinting strides are at least 7 feet away from each other, try having a stride like that with one foot on the ground.

It does actually hold the record for the fastest 'run' from a humanoid. Guinness count 'running' as simply movement with both feet of to ground. Which it does.

I think it's such a pity that QRIO and AIBO were discontinued. I wanted a QRIO!

Technically it is not running. It is speed walking.

Running requires that between each step, both feet are off the floor at the same time.
