She says that when the bombing started she was sitting in a cafe while osetians claim that bombing started in the middle of the night (at 4 a.m.) So 12-year-old Amanda was sitting in a cafe in the middle of the night. Kokolev's quote that "Georgians bombed fast asleep city" does not give a specific time and could indicate that the bombardment has started anywhere between 10pm and 6am. If you find it unusual that a 12 year girl can be sitting at a cafe after midnight (on holiday with relatives) in a place like Tskhinvali then you just dont understand their culture

Also concerning your evacuation claims. Ossetians knew that Georgians were up to something (with the build up of forces) weeks before the assault on Tskhinvali, and those who had the opportunity to leave South Ossetia did so, however we are talking about a very small minority. As nobody could have imagined the inhumanity of Georgians to launch a full scale war on peaceful population. Especially with the Russian piece keepers present.
