Tamashi loosely means fun or interesting, and so the "spirit" of sake is the drunken "fun."

It could also mean "fun with sake", but japanese isn't all that cut-and-dried (unlike most of their exported sea-food)

Basically with this, you've been revealed to be totally wrong. Spirit of Sake is the proper translation of the name of this song.
