Yes, because we're all the same. Absolutely not. For you to make a blanket statement like that is the same as me or anyone else getting on here and saying that you, not being a christian, are the same as all the people who do not claim christianity. I'm sure there are plenty of people who are not Christians whom you would not like to be associated with. We are all individuals. To lump everyone into a group and hold them all responsible for the actions of some members isn't right.

If you're a christian then you have something in common with ALL christians, your holy book is the bible. You believe that the words in it are from god. This is how your god wanted the israelites to treat their children.

I doubt very much that Mormon recruitment has seen much of a spike lately. I do know for a fact that many of the more liberal Christian sects have seen an increase in both attendance and membership from Mormons leaving the Church of L.D.S.

The media is my profession as well. Please note that not all controversy/publicity leads people automatically like sheep to any group involved in the controversy. A few may join, but many are leaving because of that church's "Yes on Prop 8" support. Fact.

In this case "liberal Christian" means not a true Christian at all. Gay marriage is not, and never will be, part of God's plan. Any church that stands in support of gay marriage stands against God. Yes we should love our neighbor, but that doesn't mean we encourage them to continue their sins. In the end that will just hurt them. As a lover of my fellow man, I pray for them and try to show them God's way not the way of man.
