In case you didn't notice, you meant speedo, not "tack"(tach). Also the speedo has km/h and mph with the larger numbers around the perimeter being mph. According to some rough calculations I did after the speedo pegged out he continued accelerating to about 238mph or 383km/h.
Its not the real speed. Its an unlimited Busa so it pre April 2002. Top end is around 200mph.
The guy can clearly wheelie and I think to help him wheelie he has chaged the gearing on the bike. Perhaps up a couple of teeth up on the back sprockets and down one on the front.
That explains why he gets to an indicated 200mph before even changing into top gear.
The speedo on a busa runs off the engine revs not the wheel, I recon the sprocket change has left the speedo reading about 20% high.

Easy, children...Japanese motorcycle speedometers are notoriously optimistic, usually 10% and sometime up to 15% high. 15% would put him right at 187mph, which is exactly what the 'Busa is electronically limited for. It's obvious from the way that speedo needle moved that he had more power to use...it didn't creep to the indicated 220, it banged into it and stopped there.
Smaller front sprocket has to turn faster to get the rear tire to turn at the same rpm as a stock sprocket, assuming you only change the front sprocket. The speedo would read faster than what the bike is actually traveling unless you reprogrammed the ECU to compensate for the difference.
It would be stupid for Suzuki to admit the Hayabusa is capable of speeds faster than "stock". The insurance rates would fly thru the roof and liability would be on Suzuki. Ever notice the '09- '10 Haya and '09-'10 Kawasaki ZX -14 both now "only" do 186 according to most mags?
