  • honestly, i've been listening to Kamelot every day for the last two months around 6-7 hours a day at work ( think i've heard the One Cold Winter's Night concert about 15 times) and now i found this playlist and i just can't get enough :). Great job Slack

  • wear do you find the story writings shown in the videos picture??! i want to read this story!

  • Ur talking about haunting not march -.-

  • If someone doesn't adapt these two albums into a stage opera, I may have to do it myself.

  • @CallingCrowe Already way ahead of you haha. #FilmStudent

  • the entire story is just such an amazing one, if anyone has the time i would suggest that you all look at the inspiration for the two albums

  • These two are my favourite Kamelot songs ever. They're both so powerful, March of Mephisto's dark tones compel a million images and When The Lights Are Down is just epic, especially at the intro.

  • Isn't Reaper93Nixon clever...

  • can u tell me how this story begin?

  • @Cruelisgood listen to the "Prologue & Center of the Universe" from this same channel.

  • fantastic idea, i always understood the story but theeres a few things in your description i never noticed, it makes he music more enjoyable

Kamelot should of almost released somthing like this as a short book with the album

    anyway gj

  • Who is the one supposed to be speaking the lyrics? Ariel or Mephisto? or both? I hope I was clear...

  • In March of Mephisto, I think Mephisto is speaking.

  • Thinking about it now... when he says "wailing your sorrow is only my way to comfort you" is seem it's Mephisto's speech as he delivers Marguerite to Ariel. I thought it could be Ariel seducing Marguerite instead... got confused by the March of Mephisto videoclip.

  • March of Mephisto is Mephisto trying to get Ariel to moe on. The seduction doesn't actually occur in this song, its just where Mephisto convinces Ariel to go along with it. When the Lights are Down is Ariel talking.

  • I see... thanks. = ]

  • it's both the grunting is mephisto who is convincing arial that this could be his beloved.

  • The idea is that it's both. Mephisto is controlling Ariel as Ariel is controlling Marguerite.

  • mephisto does the opening in latin and the deathgrowls and part of the chorus

    "reminders of inocent youth"

Ariel does the pretty much everything else

they got shagrath from dimmu borgir to do the mephisto parts so its a different singer

  • I saw Kamelot live a year or so ago, and March was the final encore. It was badass. Everyone was shouting along with "One! Two! Three! Four!"

  • I wonder why this video doesn't have more comments.. This is a great band, great songs.. deserves all our respect!

  • I love this story...

Thank you so much for making these!

  • I love this story...strangely most of my comments and rating on Epica didnt occur...i wonder if this will be posted as well

  • It did :) And thanks for the nice comments

  • This is one of my favorite songs, though epica is my favorite album

  • i could listen to the whole story all day long.

  • You're not the only one ;)

  • Woot! March of Mephisto is the first Kamelot song I ever heard and still one of my favorites.
