  • true, I would not want to be at the business end of one of these lancers. But, I've heard that they are a bitch to keep in the air

  • I've been on that flight line and I thought our EA-6Bs were loud. I was wrong the B-1B makes the prowler sound like someone whispering.

  • wtf that plane is copy of Russian airplane TU-56 WHITE SWAN OR NATO STANDART BLACK JACK

  • @hollowdono, Think you have that backwards -- The TU-160 "Blackjack" bomber is a copy of the B-1B....considering that the B-1B first flew in 1974....the Blackjack's first flight wasn't until 1981....so how could the B-1B, flying in 1974, be a copy of a plane that didn't even *exist* yet??

  • i spy a F22 at 2:09.

Looks like Nellis AFB....... my shop is less than a block from the end of the runway and the B1B's almost always set off car alarms in the parking lot! Love seeing the after burner shock rings, the best thing is if i miss the fly over I'm sure to catch the second plane as they almost always leave in pairs!

  • I have been crewing these things for the past 15 years and the takeoff never gets old :)

  • Off we go, going to bomb sand niggers!

  • I feel so wimpy only being able to fly a Civil Air Patrol Cessna

  • glad to live in a country that owns those

    bad-ass weapons, love it

  • Doesn't take much runway to take off when you've got 4 fuckin F-16 engines does it? LMAO Love it. That's the sound of freedom bitches!

  • Better a Cessna than not flying at all!!Be proud in stead of being unsatisfied. I hope that the Cessna does not fuck you; that would be your problem!

  • How about tilting the camera down a little bit.

  • It's a shame the B-1 gets overshadowed by other jets. It really is a nice plane. Only the Vulcan was more beautiful.

  • they are heavy loaded they are not going for a ride on missions

  • This is Area 51

  • @MrEddieG420 It's Nellis...Glaringly obvious was all of the LV Strip construction behind them. The Wynn and The Encore were clearly visible when they taxied out.

  • @CanesFan680 Thanks I wasnt sure where it was

  • 1:03 what was he smoking?

  • 2:10! raptor in the background! and prowlers!

  • That dude at 1:03 doing the jump on the lightpole, must be bored at work, he needs internet lol

  • @DavePhillips671 That crew chief may have been jumping up to touch the wingtip. When I launch out an F-16, I'll touch the missle (or the missle rail) when they're taxiing out.

  • @dummermutht was talking about the guy in the far background mucking around on a ligth tower lol, you must have one of the best jobs going shooting fighters off to do their good work, much respect mate.

  • @dummermutht ...And then say, "go get'um kiddo." Lol

  • Such a beautiful plane ... but do you know how much they cost apiece? do you know how many schools and hospitals you could've made with the entire budget for the B1 program?

  • @Byron10301: Are you really that thick? Its called the price of peace!

  • @Itchhhh aha ... :) you know, so far as we have gullible people like you around, why do we need bright honest politicians for? any donkey wearing a suit can sell you any lie ... which is what we have, and what we will have for a long time ... "price of peace" ... now pray tell, were you being sarcastic?

  • @Byron10301 : I have no love for politicians and or the military industrial complex. As someone who served in the AF at the height of the Cold War I do know how close we came to WWIII. The B-1 was a formadable threat that the Russians were quite concerned about. So much so that the most recent SALT treaty prevents the B-1 from carrying nuclear weapons. Don't give me your left ideology when we have enemies that want to destroy us.

  • you know what the US navy should request to boeing?? A carrier based bomber. Like what doolittle did when attacking japan...

  • @dogfightingcat

But these days with JDAMs and what not, the strike aircraft on board carriers carry a hell of a lot of bombing potential. Why clutter a deck with a bomber when your CAS F/A-18 can do almost as good of a job whilst remaining a potent dogfighter?

  • @De4thAnge1 good point my bad...

gee, i cant wait till i join the navy... ill be flying a F/A-35 and

the F/A-35 is not useless! According to some people on youtube...

  • Those things look cool but are such pieces of crap....

  • @bilobaman waddya mean?

  • @SsgtVenere It's maintainability leaves a lot to be desired. Compared to every combat aircraft ever that is. It does it's job though and it's all were gonna have for a while for that role.

  • Terrible gracefulness.

  • Watched the B1s during early deployment in Abilene, at Dyess AFB, in the 80s. Amazing to look off in the distance and see a sleek flying goose that suddenly swept its wings back and shot out of sight and off to the Arizona desert for training exercises.

  • Love the dude jumping at 1:03

  • @greghm That was the crew chief. He jumped and hit the wing for good luck.

  • @greghm -- cuz he got stung in the arse by a pebble the first B1 shot at him by the thrust from the engines.

  • if i ever get in the U.S Air Force i would like to fly a c130 or b-52 or b-1

  • I hope that when I get in the Air Force I get a b-1 slot hell I'd rather have it then a fighter slot

  • @1999sebring Actually Lately They are training more drone pilots than fighter jocks these days. So you may wind up at a desk flying a Predator.

  • @WALTERBROADDUS I know I had a buddy of mine who was flyin f16s who got transered to drones if I cant get a real flying job then Im just gonna go fly Rjs for united express or another airline. I dont see why drones are the airforces new favs I think they are hella stupid.

  • @1999sebring Well they don't need to be rescued if shot down. They don't eat, sleep, or blackout. Some actually like the 9-5 way of doing things. In the office by 9, kill some Tailban by lunch. Be home to the wife by 5. Anyway, that is the future.

  • @WALTERBROADDUS To me if I was flying a drone and a mig was on my ass I could careless if I got shot down but if my life was on the line Id fight 10 times harder and I dont feel drones are a good thing for anything besides recon or srikes on enemy camps

  • The Royal Air Force really needs some of these!

  • tu 160

  • Notice the guy at 1:03

  • Comment removed

  • Those engines are old, arguably under-powered and expensive to maintain. I'd go for redesigning the engine bays to house upgraded GE-132 engines as part of a B-1B+ modernization and SLEP option. It would be a helluva lot cheaper, more expedient and less risky than proceeding with the NGB in the mid-term - a program Congress would likely kill down the road anyway after getting nothing for sunk billions in R&D. Postpone the NGB to a mid-2030's acquisition. Supplement B-1B+ with FB-22, done.

  • and here I am...flying a fucking cessna! ;)

  • @Nortroll I know the feeling.

  • @Nortroll way better than flying nothing, believe me ;)

  • Do you really fly one?

  • Sir, if you are flying the Cessna,

    and watching you tube....

you may want to add some flaps and slow it down a bit..:)

  • @Nortroll I can relate, except I fly a Piper!

  • @Nortroll and i'm here stuck in a chair in the fucking office.........

  • @Allbbrz

    hehe...yeah I guess that's bad to...

  • @Nortroll I'm only flying a couch : (

  • @Nortroll Hey man!, dont gripe, it beat a greyhound buss. you wanna trade?. lol

  • @Nortroll You didn't say what type Cessna, a Citation would be pretty respectable.

  • @fz7bh5

    yeah well...it's a 172 ;) but one day..maybe a Citation:D

  • is there a toilet inside?

  • @reekpeekseek yes there is a toilet-

  • Do they still fly? Where can I get info on future air displays where they will be at....?

  • Thank you Mr Reagan for saving the fine aircraft from obscurity.

  • @Auggie56

Carries nearly 2x the bomb load of the B-52, is more stealthy, faster and better weapons systems too. Indeed Mr. Reagan, we need you now more than ever!

  • skip to 1:27 uless you want to see it taxi

  • thats a big jet

  • Are all Bones equipped w/the Sniper pod now? Or do the 2-ship cells do a buddy laze?

    Bad to the B-ONE!

  • Had a chance to see one of the B1's do a high climb then into a barrel roll at Oshkosh. I freaked when I had seen it. A crew chief at show center said it could be done if they maintained 1-2g's. I've admired it ever since then.

  • @TimjR42 I was there that year as well. Beautiful bird. Set up for photos late one night, boy does that thing suck up the light. Got great photos.

  • saw one this morning doing the touch and go drill. motherfucker was loud lol

  • saw these in Qatar at night, so cool.

  • wow its so sweet

  • lmfao at 1:03, dude trying to catch onto the wing :P

  • I hate know-it-all aviation pilot weenies, there's so many of them and they're so annoying

  • I wish the passenger jets have that same roar

  • cool planes i love b-1 jets btw the guy who touched the wing was stupid

  • Off to Bomb more Innocent people

  • @cessna65423 Douche

  • @ViperKeeper2070 The Military is used the same way our POLICE are used. To force compliance of those who DON'T want to live under a Jewish Communistic Controlled America. Are you aware we are not even a country but a CORPORATION?? i WAS young once and thought WE Were the good guys but then my eyes were opened. Read Smedly Butlers book WAR IS A RACKET. (he was a Congress medal of honor winner of ww1 ) and Learn JEWS/ISRAEL control US. Seek Truth. All you Believe IS A LIE!!

  • @cessna65423 Israel does indeed 'control' US foreign policy in a way that Eisenhower, for one, would find surprising and unacceptable, but it's nothing to do with Jews, who are not an important voting bloc outside NYC and a few Florida counties - it's because so-called 'right-wing Christians' have adopted Israel as a pet cause.

  • @cessna65423

    Sounds good to me!

  • @cjman1990 b-1 had the signature of a hummingbird, the amount of price difference the b-2 has does not truly justify the difference in technology. plus being highly unstable where the b-1 is rock solid.

  • What does it mean "red flag"?

  • @ernshengjoel - Leasing to Russians

  • @ernshengjoel Operation red flag is, as far as i know, a USAF combat training exercise. There's an IMAX movie about it all.

  • @xxJ1G5AVVxx It's actualy an international excersize hosted by the usaf. Statistics had shown a pilot is much more likely to survive after 10 combat missions. Red Flag is designed to give the pilot his first ten. Red Flag includes ground and naval excersizes in conjunction with its air.

  • @Antifaith29 Yea, that sounds right. I was pretty fuzzy on the details as i haven't looked up much about it lately

  • @Antifaith29 in most reality 10 practice combat missions do not compare to 10 real combat mission , by reason of the real tension on a real mission no practice mission can probably make happen.

  • @circusboy90210 Yeah, i dont really care what you think, champ. My post is EXACTLY the reason red flag started. Look it up.

  • @Antifaith29 why so hostile , just making a casual observation. don't really care if you think your the military mastermind behind it or not. though it probably started back in some foreign theatre were that was probably noted and put into use . the point is your way out of line coming at me like that , just making a simple observation as part of a conversation, don't get your panty's in a wad dude.

  • @circusboy90210 No, im not. I told a guy the exact reason red flag was created and you came at me with a perfectly obvious " pretend missions arent ther same as real missions" statement. My first reaction was " yes.. no shit , idiot" , i then toned it down to that.

I'm certainly no military mastermind, anyone with half a brain and a search engine can find out why red flag was started , at least you're half way there with the search engine eh?

  • @Antifaith29 came off hostile as fuck guy. if it's perfectly obvious then what's wrong with spelling it out for those who don't understand it like you do??? maybe I'm testing a hyposthesis?? no need to get hostile that's all. just because things are obvious to you does not mean that is the truth for eveybody. other people might assume a training mission is just as effective as a real mission even though you go through exactly the same things that would happen on a real mission. god bless.

  • @circusboy90210 So basicly you're saying that every time i type something i have to account for the lowest common denominator? No thanks, i'd much prefer to assume people have a basic level of intelligence , at least enough to understand something as simple as that.

You certainly are testing that theory though.

And please, as much as i dont want to turn this into a religious debate , keep your god bless .

  • @Antifaith29 some kind of higher power? I'm not totallly into monotheistic religion if any really myself.

  • @circusboy90210 With that said, this argument is retarded on every level. I wont be replying again , i refuse to argue about something so fucking purile.

I suggest you grow up and let it go, champ.

I'll leave you to have your last word if thats what you need, good evening.

  • @Antifaith29 thanks for broadcasting your feelings of your own lack of self worth sir, your puerility is greatly appreciate.(spelling) really though you should lighten up, I know there are alot of flaming trolls on here, too bad. I'm not one of them and am just searching for answers , I am into aviation period.

  • Shitty camera work showed a whole bunch of sky & mountains above the damn airplane but didn't even show the landing gear or runway during takeoff. wtf!

I think I'll shoot some video of the sky & maybe capture bits of the plane at the bottom.

  • @FantasticBob7000 - Great, check back when you get 30,0000 subscribers one over one million channel views...

  • @Z0ne5ive HA HA you must be the camera man

  • And there goes one city...

  • Why all Engines are almost at the tail or end of plane, even the wings are almost at the tends towards the tail of plane.

  • @mushtaq1266 Supersonic aerodynamics.... Google it.

  • Those things are so mean looking!

  • I heard air Force rumors they make the B-1 as a fighter. I doubt that would happen tho. little by little these pretty bombers are going into the bone yard.

  • @USAF2409 LOL BONE yard, it is sad tho

  • AS A FORMER CREW CHIEF OF 86-0134 AT MCCONNELL ABF WICHITA KS , AS LONG AS THEY FLY EVERYTHING IS OK BUT IF THEY SIT ON THE GROUND FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME THEN THEY HAVE A TENDACY TO BREAK

  • @BLACKBIRDHEATER1 seals and gaskets need regular lubrication that only come by operating the bird?

  • gotta love the f22 in the backround on rolling .. one of my fav planes !!!

  • they didn't have these are the 2011 Miramar Air show :(...so bummed out

probably because they're too busy bombing dune koons in Afghanistan!

    sure with they were there!

  • A Dyess bird, Sheetmetal on these planes.. Rib Cracks, lots of hydrolines... Ugh! Had to trim a new saddle panel recently.

  • hate that the top two comments are the same...so 2010

  • What great bird it is!

  • The guy jumping up to touch the wing tip is a crew chief, thats a "pat on the back" if you will to show pride in your jet and wish her a safe flight. Although rare, some of us old crew chiefs will do that from time to time.

  • @ANDE2004 that is so kewl! love it

  • SEE THE F-22's AND A-7E's ! COOL ! :D :D :D

  • hey guys can someone explain me the main jobs of this plain, what its built for, does the usa only have them and where its built? : ) thanks!!

  • @88ABRAMS88 Supersonic bomber for conventional bombing. The B-1B's were recently used in "Operation Odyssey Dawn" in air strikes against Libya in March, 2011. (see wiki article, explains a whole lot more).

  • @DJsStratoArt thanks man

  • I want to work on this aircraft so bad.

  • @XStormfalconX No you dont..... its maintenance has become the same as the F-14..... its 48-52 hours of labor for every hour the plane is in the air.

You sneeze at it...... it'll take a week to fix it, its that fragile, but it is a badass plane...... when its not on the ground

  • @rotor13 how can something so baddass be so fragile?? is it really constantly pushing it's envelope so hard the materials are strecthed just past their design limits?

  • @circusboy90210

its high maintenance because its a rather old plane, and just from its size any combat maneuvers adds a great deal of stress to the frameworks joints.... bolts welds etc.... not from the actual material itself.

plus alot of parts are hard to get to and some need to be reman'd because they are no longer produced and are manufactured on an "as needed" basis.

  • @rotor13 really don't understand what's so complicated about a simple swing wing seems like it would be just a huge bearing nor really a whole lot to complicate, the idea is probably one of the best in all of aviation and would save commercial airliners tons of money.

  • @circusboy90210 i dont mean the swept wing. i mean the entire frame in general.

  • @rotor13 yes I understand just taking more shop about other things . ty for your courteous and prompt response.

  • @circusboy90210 The wing is the primary lifting surface of the aircraft, which means that the majority of the plane's mass must be supported by the wing's main spars. You can think of it as a rod, with the plane hung in the middle. If you lift it from the ends, it will sag in the middle. If you put a couple of hinges in the rod, those hinges will sag even further.

Getting the same strength from a hinge as a uniform rod is going to be heavier.

  • @HarryVoyager hinges can have tolerences so tight tha sag is not a function of their operation.

  • @HarryVoyager Very true but don't forget the B1's blended body design....helps lift and high-speed stability....beautiful aircraft.....I was stationed at Dyess myself many moons ago...

  • @circusboy90210 Continuing... There will also be issues with binding, because the force is trying to drive it in a direction it doesn't bend. A taller hing will resist the lift forces better, because it has more surface area in the joint, but the more surface area you have in the joint, the more friction you will have against turning in the desired direction, and the bigger and heavier the drive motors need to be., etc etc etc.

It gets to be a real pain

  • @circusboy90210 The commercial world doesn't really benefit from it because they are almost purely subsonic, and do not need to operate large aircraft off of unimproved runways. The big deal with a swing wing is it allows you to get something with a highly effective supersonic wing off of a short runway.

Its the same set of reasons why the very powerful and highly efficient high bypass turbofans don't get used on combat jets.

  • @HarryVoyager ok thank you.

  • why is that guy doing the Arsenio Hall fist pump ? hoot hoot hoot hoot .... ha ha..

  • he didnt touch the wing the was signalin the other B-1

  • One good lookin bird.

  • modernize my ass! still the best mama jamma on the block! still 1 hell of a express man. & still more capable than a b2 it should had been the delivery syst. in so many confrontations. Hey Travolta they might be on sale! Way to stay hip man just sayin, ya geyser... :D

  • GORGEOUS PLANE !!!!!!

  • Is that a Lantrin pod I see on the forward hardpoint?

  • It's a Sniper ATP (Advanced Targeting Pod)

  • @sparkdog44 Thanks Nice added extra Now the B1's are even more DEADLY COOL >:-)

  • I love B-1. USAF they should modernize them

  • @hgrgic

    They did.

  • Such a sexy airplane

  • Thumbs up on the technology but just don't let Liberals get into a position of power otherwise they will use it to kill White people.

  • @MrBEB123 That was easily the most idiotic thing I've heard this month.

  • cool

  • that a bringer of death can be such a beautifull piece of art , thanks for the vid

  • @planecrazynl this technology sould not be wasted, it should be used to make civilian airlines fly faster higher , more efficiently and carry more passenger.

  • It really is a good looking craft hey...

  • After-burning!

  • My baby! Dyess AFB, 1988-1992

  • @zonapainter my best friend was a fuel systems specialist in about 95-96 @ dyess... i got to be alot closer to one of those than i probably should have!

  • rain man at 0:55

  • @pigjamelectric lmfao

  • 1:03 lol at the guy who jumped and touched the wing as it taxied by!

  • @xmodfreak2011 HA.... good eye.. I to replay it a couple of times to see that..

  • @xmodfreak2011 that was probably a terrorist planting c4 on the plane

  • God, I love the B1. One of the sexiest planes ever built.

  • WOW HD whats that???^^

  • @13BigLu13 not impressive enough is what that is. take it back to mpeg2 for some real sound.

  • She is so beautiful.

  • And those SOBs in the government want to retire them already!! :(

  • @kentuckysean

What? When? No way! (I am Chicagoan... please elaborate! :D)

  • That plane is jaw droppingly sexy.

  • Here comes some Pain.

  • Loud-n-Gorgeous!

  • Sexy plane.

  • Love the lines on the B1B...big and beautiful.

  • These are scary planes! :D

  • Awsome

  • 1:03 check the guy jumping

    heheeh
