@alvinorto I used this GHS 'cause they don't destroy the fingerboard and the sound is so sweet, without bright, like a double bass. I prefer this kind of sound. I like Jaco sound too, with more power and bright, but I use the fretless for other styles where I prefer a sound of double bass. Thanks again my friend. Take Care
@alvinorto I use GHS Black Nylon strings. Did you mean that? I haven't played DR Strings of nylon. Do you recomend them to me? I'm really happy with this GHS but they're to expensive.
nice going trying all those chords and intervals, you're a brave man to try playing them solo haha. how long've you been playing that thing? your intonation's quite close but if you listen you can hear the 5th intervals are almost all sharp compared to the tonic..
(i'm also a fretless player, albeit a 4 stringer and i hardly ever do this sort of technical stuff on it, just too hard to keep all the notes in tune; i use it for jazz walking as a change of sound to my upright)
@Stusbass ah yeah, well fair enough then if that was all improvised; as i say i wouldn't do anything besides jazz on a fretless, too hard for me (and this comes from an upright player also remember! haha)
got a wonderful sound tho that thing, wish you all the best with it. hope to see this recording of yours on here in the future..? :P i'd love to see how you're coming on with the thing.
I have to practice more the new song because it has a lot of different chords and as you know it's really difficult to play chords in a fretless, and I often play them bad, so I have to practise it more, althought I made a recorded with a fretted bass to show it to my friends. So if you like to hear it, only ask me.

@seanevans1992
That's true. Thanks for listening carefully. The truth is that's only a sound review and I made that improvisation.
I'm ending my first song with the fretless and I hope I could recorded as soon as posible.
Thanks for your comment.
Take Care.

Isn't this bass a little too much for you?
pecoyamada 1 year ago
@pecoyamada Why did you say that? I don't what's the problem.
If you don't like what I played there's no problem but remember I only was making a review of the sound of the bass. It was only an improvisation.
