It's tough to recommend a phone to someone... If you don't care about physical keyboards, which if you have an iPhone, I assume you're not too worried about having one, then I'd suggest the Droid X on Verizon. Maybe the Incredible if you like the HTC Sense UI... Droid 2 has a physical keyboard. The bottom line, though, no matter what anyone says: Visit a (Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, etc.) store and play with all the phones; you have to determine what feels good to you (haha, sexual).

ATT sucks balls, probably the Sprint variant would be the way to go with their 4G stuff. I've been real happy with my Captivate. It's the first Android phone I've been happy with out of the box, but I've since rooted it and installed the Cognition ROM on it. The phone is very nice.

Samsung Galaxy S might be a good choice (great screen among others qualities). Also Nokia N8 has the best camera on a phone by a mile and isn't pricey at all.

Then again, most phones look like a steal when u compare it with the iKrap 4. Other than a pretty high resolution screen (for a phone) and an app library with thousands of apps ( most utterly pointless, how many apps do people actually buy/use often ?).

Oh and i don't know about u but i prefer being able to finish phone calls.

Get the Droid or Droid X Droid 2. I have the Droid and I have no complaints about it. I've dropped it a few times and it is still working fine. Download the AWL launcher and make all your programs run seamlessly at once. Samsung may have the best specs, but it feels a bit light at hand and toyish.

this is late.. but i have sprint and they are the cheapest. for $60 (google sprints referral discount on mark mcguires blog) a month you get 500 minutes and unlimited everything else and free calls to all mobile phones on any network. if you get an 4G phone its an extra $10 a month for "premium data" but the referral discount evens that out. and if youre worried about network dont worry, you can roam on to verizons towers for calls, data, etc for free
