The fact that he was very slightly flat at the beginning, I think, is a good thing... it proves that he's not autotuning, which puts him far above most singers out there, considering the majority of his performance.

I'd sooner hear flaws than digital perfection.

Powerwolf are nothing like Iron Maiden. In fact.. Iron Maiden are one of a kind, and no band is like them.

Powerwolf are great in their own right. No point in saying they are better or worse than Iron Maiden. Just enjoy both.

Very few bands are truly "one of a kind", and as much as I love and respect Maiden, they're not really one of them either. It's often the case with big bands, because inevitably many other bands will be inspired by them, and there are a number (Powerwolf among them) that have distinct Maiden sound in them. Though there are others that are more similar, in this case it's more that Maiden generally inspired a lot of epic/power metal.

Sadly this is rather common in germany, I was at a Nightwish concert and except for the front rows there was little to no movement at all. I will never understand how you can just...stand there hearing this music. But oh well, secrets make live interesting :D
