have you tried looking in add/remove programs if you have XP or Programs and Features if you have Vista? Both will be in the control panel. You then scroll down to Norton and click uninstall.

Excellent video, I hope it gets the visibility it deserves, this is very usefull for people out there to know and think about freeware, and more important, open source alternatives. A big concern is that they are not "as good", and its very usefull for them to visually see that they are more than fine for their needs. Many people say "I don't have the money to buy them so I'll download them", why? You can save money, be legal and support the open source community just by using them! 5 star :)

Ad-aware scans your computer for spyware (which is different from what an Anti-Virus protects you from). Comodo is a firewall (you probably have Windows Firewall and that is sufficient). I just show protection programs to match (and most likely beat) Nortons Security Suite.

Lotta good alternatives you got there. I never knew about MagicDisc, i use Daemon Tools instead. Does the job wonderfully :) As for a firewall, i use ZoneAlarm which is free as well. I never tried antivir but i did use to have Avast! installed and while it is a great program, it eats up too much RAM i find. How's antivir compare to Avast performance and scan wise?

I'd just like to add, VLC Media player is probably THE BEST piece of software i've ever downloaded. Right up there with Firefox.
