What sort of tumbling medium are you using there? Corn? Walnut? And brass polish? (And on that note, will the brass polish shine up the nickle-plated cases as well?)
Thanks again for another great vid..... I just started reloading and found that the loading guides give me a extreme load that I worked up to and they don't recoil even as much as WWB....am I missing something...or is it lawyer(liar) specs? Also which edition of Hornady are you using(just curious). Again Thanks
Nice set yup you have there. i have a RL550B running 9mm right now , looking to do the 223 round next, was wondering what extra steps do i need to do. Since i just have my 9mm for plinking, i was told a progressive reloader is ok, but for rifle rounds i was told to go with something like a rcb rockchucker. I see you do 223 with your dillion. How accurate does your powder charger. I was told that is one of the biggest parts of accuracy .
@millster101 I started with the RCBS rockchucker and looking back WOW but it was the learning this stuff is what realy counts. I still use the RCBS with a case trimmer. My 223 rounds are very accurate. I did a video a while back on the 223 but may do a new one..
Really nice reloading video, that 650 looks pretty easy to use. Im debating on which unit to buy. I certainly want a unit that can reload all calibers of ammo and reload them in a decent time frame. Thanks for sharing
@urbansurvivor101 I do the 45s on the 1050 and if im not trying to win a contest I can do about a thousand an hour. Using the 650 its about 6 to 7 hundred.
If you factor in the price of the reloading equipment, how many rounds would you have to reload to really save money? I ask because I'm close to getting a Dillon 650 but they are just so expensive
Nice demonstration. I assume the process would be similar for .40 sw. I guess 12 ga is cheap enough to just buy. I have not decided on a rifle caliber. I want something that can double for defense and hunting but the hunting laws say no semi's :(
its like my own personal therapy

@OBXSOLWIND how much do you save on reloading? Is it cheaper to buy in bulk and reload or just buy ammo at walmart?

reloading is great for both bulk and some of those wallet killer or odd ball rounds. most hunting rounds just murder the cheaking account.

Does it save much money? Or is the idea being self sufficient?
porkypine745 9 months ago
@porkypine745 Its about both. Generally pistol is 50% off and rifle is about 60 to 70% off if you dont count your time.
