@inACCESSable Dissidia, no. Crisis Core, kind of. It has the same feel of other FF games way back when but it has some obvious differences like the battle system. The story reals you in like old times and the character development is nice. I'd highly rec. it.

@mafiagangstr Well thats kind of a hard decision to make seeing on how they are both totally different games...But I'll suggest off of my experience with both.

Crisis Core: Crisis Core is easily one of the best psp games out there. Its awesome in graphics game play and storyline too. If you're looking for a game that you would be able to sit on for hours at a time non-stop, then GET THIS GAME. However, if you're not a member of the older final fantasy, you may find yourself irritated.

@mafiagangstr Resistance Retribution: An action packed game that will keep you interested till the very end. Theres only a couple problems I had with it.

1: The game lasted me 2 hours and 24 minutes in total. Waayy to short for me.

2: If you haven't played Resistance 1 and 2, the story line wont make much since.

However, even after I beat the game I could still go back and play it with just as much interest.

If you ask me, Crisis Core is a better option. You won't regret getting it.

@cpcreep Well... Crisis Core EASILY has a MUUUUUUUUUCH better storyline and the plot is much more satisfying. However, Crisis Core's main gameplay has a few flaws (levelling up is based on LUCK and it is very repetitive too) while Dissidia's is overall much more fast-paced and the general consensus is that Dissidia is much more fun. I can't really tell you which one you'd like better. If you love FFVII and you like a good storyline and passable gameplay, then go with crisis core, if not dissidia

Crisis Core was not all too popular for its gameplay, however, its storyline was absolutely brilliant. The story was the thing that kept me going. The one thing I get frustrated about Crisis Core is that, instead of random battles, there are combat zones, so if you step into one, you instantly get into a fight. So I often find myself skipping these zones avoiding a LOT of fights. If it were random battle instead I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

To be honest, I was hoping the melee combat was deeper than this, especially since it's an action game. Never liked FF7's going-through-menus-while-enem­ies-whail-on-your-ass gameplay either. Call me a hater, but though the game's story and characters are the most interesting I've seen in an RPG, the gameplay pissed me off. Even wait mode only works in the items menu.
