  • hi Crutchfield. Up until now, my mind was almost already made up on buying the Energy Take Classic 5.1 because of the reviews in cnet, in here, etc. But now, i stumble upon this Mirage Nanosat 5.1 and i'm torn. Seeing that you also reviewed the Energy Take Classic, which one is really better? Price is not an issue.

  • @antimatterutube They are both great systems and you cannot go wrong with either. The top firing Mirage speakers disperse the sound in all directions which help to provide a natural “reflected” sound field while the Energy are front firing and provide great directional performance. Both systems are quality and different at the same time. Feel free to call for a personalized recommendation: 800.315.0030--Crutchfield

  • This is nothing new, it's a design rip off of the original Hegeman speaker from the 70s. Virtually the same type of reflective spheres are used to achieve an omnidirectional sound field.

Morrison Audio also manufactures a variant of this design but (unlike Mirage) CONSTANTLY ACKNOWLEDGES it as a design of Stewart Hegeman while Mirage takes credit for it. The Morrison speaker vastly outperforms the Mirages, albeit at a substantially higher price.

  • Which AVRs would you recommend with these speakers?

  • @saurabh459

Great question, the problem is, there are so many other factors involved in which receiver is perfect for you. iPod? Speakers in other rooms? # of HDMI inputs? and much more.

You can use any receiver that has up to 100 watts per channel with these speakers, but that's a lot of choices. So, give us a call to narrow it down to the perfect one for you.

    Thanks,

  • @saurabh459 can u please tell me how can i conect my yamaha rx-v 463 to my desktop my desktop does not have hdmi conection

  • @wolf776688 You can use a Y audio cable and connect it on either sides with red and white going into the AVR and single cord into yr desktop, but thats only for audio, for video i have no idea

  • Thanks for you that share information to all people in the world. Your information is simple and very good but if you add a music in you video, it can add your value in your video.. Thanks so much.

  • I was saving up for the Energy Micro but if these are really worth an extra $400 please let me know

  • @AWarlordsView

I have had the pleasure of seeing and hearing this system in our retail store, and each time I do, I am amazed at the sound of these tiny little speakers. The Energy system is nice as well, but if you want speakers that are small enough to truly disappear into your room, and still sound amazing, these are the way to go.

Yeah, I'd say go for it.

  • " SEXY lOOKS GREAT SOUND" Some days youll think youre in a Cinema. On others, youll swear youre in the Concert Hall. Its all a MirageTodays lifestyle demands a speaker that looks as good as it sounds. One that could be the focal point of the room or, blend in unobtrusively. A speaker with sound so real, you could almost be listening to a live performance. I bought this speakers and they are truly amazing.

  • how is the subwoofer and the power is it good

cuz i bought these for hometheatre and havnt tried them out yet=*(
