@SlashColombiaRevenge The song is in spite of all the danger which was written by paul and george which was the first original the group played. I think. Don't hold me to that because it might have been hello little girl which was written by john.
Such an incredible performance! So great to see he still has the fire in his heart about music, passionate and still loving it. Great show & I love friends to go & how kind of you. I wish he performed promise to you girl from chaos and creation. It's without a doubt my favourite McCartney album!!
Anyway, I wish Paul would release this on DVD (or Blu-ray or whatever). Sorry to be so long-winded! Just wanted to help clear-up some of the confusion.
Thank you SO much for uploading this! I remember being absolutely spellbound by this when it originally aired on PBS. When I bought the McCartney Years DVD set, the blurb on the back led me to believe this was included. However, what's actually included is a similarly-titled behind-the-scenes doc.
A genuine genius of Pop music. Apart from the fact that he has created an amazing body of work, what I love is that he is still so in love with music, so passionate and childlike almost in his approach. In a modern world so full of pop artifice it is great that we still have great popular artists who stand for something above the trappings of money, style and power
A lot of the great classic rockers are doing these kinds of performances. Great idea really, kind of like a guided tour through their very own personal museums. John Densmore (drummer for the Doors) did one as well, with some great Jim Morrison stories to boot!
@robinlortie the song is called ''In spite of all the danger'' Its the first song they recorded with their first band named The Quarrymen. you have to watch the movie ''Nowhere boy''. its the life of john lennon when he was around 16 and u can hear the song :)
The tape experiments on the old Studer, the multitracking at the end, the Elvis bass, the ins-and-outs of the melotron explained.... and of course the songs. If Paul McCartney hosted this as a show at Abbey Road 5 nights a week they'd never have to worry about the place going bankrupt!
Thanks for posting this (especially without it being chopped up into loads of parts)!

It's quite confusing as there actually 3 (yes 3!) Macca documentaries with very similar titles:
Chaos and Creation At Abbey Road (the amazing PBS special featured here)
Creating Choas at Abbey Road (a behind-the-scenes look at the above concert, plus some stuff about the album, included on the McCartney Years DVD set)
Between Chaos and Creation (30 min. making-of-the-album doc included on 2-disc special editions of C&CitBy)
