I keep praying for it,i am a believer.

But speaking in tongues as a sign??

yes i want that,but it never happend.

What am i doing wrong?

How do i pray to make this happen?

@JawsBrink Brother. I received the Holy Ghost, praise Jesus, two days ago! I had been studying/obeying/loving/search­ing him for three years. I thought I had the Holy Ghost... I even proclaimed it. Though. When it came up I always felt a heavyness in my heart. Listen. Two days ago, I went up at 05.00 to pray (which I have never done before, I always had a struggle to pray)... This man did not skip anything, watch his videos and be aware of the topics. The topic is receive the holy spirit. Go back to repentance topic, baptize in the water topics and then come to receive the holy spirit.

I have been taught and i beleive that baptism is dying to your old self and being born anew into christ and the holy spirit.It is a way to be identified as a part of the universal body of christ.Being baptized in water,means that you are dedicating yourself to christ and identifying yourself with him and the kingdom of God,after this is done you must be annointed and baptized in fire and the holy spirit which god will pour out on you.I really hope this helped:)

He is missing the water baptism. You have to be baptised in the water completely submerce to be reborn intoo the body of christ. Its not just faith alone. Theirs actually a ritual that takes place for somebody to recieve the holy spirit. The holy spirit will descend on a person like a dove.

@jesussavior1364 Where in the Bible does it say that? The only person in the Bible that received the Spirit in the form of a dove was Jesus.  The disciples received the Holy Spirit in the form of cloven tongues of fire. When does the Bible mention a ritual also? Please use scripture to support this.

@anjaev93 And thats threw water baptism. The water baptism is the way to recieve the holy spirit. Your head must be completely emerce underwater. As you come up you will recieve the holy spirit. Derek skipped this and jumped intoo pauls teachings

@jesussavior1364 Where in the Bible does it say that? One of the few passages Derek uses is Acts 10 where Cornelius and his house receives, and read that passage, he was not baptized before he received. The Bible does not teach anywhere that you will receive the Holy Spirit only when you are baptized in water.

@SoldierOfTheCross84 it says it in the bible. jesus recieved the holy spirit threw baptism. not speaking in tongues. Those tongues are fauls but there are some real tongues but the ones in those churches are learned behavior.

@SoldierOfTheCross84 Read Acts 2:37 onwards. It clearly states that you receive the free gift of the Holy Spirit, after you repent and are baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins.
