Sound is very loud on speakers, what is that coud be, do you know? And if you can tell me what kind of antennas i need for it, i really appreciate if you answer!

  • I share the same sickness :P

  • Hey! I can't resist the urge to gloat, LOL... I have an SA-5270 I got at an estate auction last year in Lamar CO for $5. I go to a lot of auctions, and half the time the stuff you get is broken, so this was a pleasant surprise. The unit works like new. Cheers!

  • I just got a Technics SA-5470 that i am working on. I have some videos of it on my channel also the left channel has some static in it can you tell me what to do to fix it? it does not do it when you adjust the volume.

  • There are bargoons galore if you're looking for vintage stuff. That Technics is from a 75 to 77 vintage. i used to have it's bigger brother.

  • It sure is a sickness. I have stereo components of all types piling up in practically every room in the house.

  • it is good sickness but i love it. but i just got a SA-1010 off ebay for 15 bucks and it need some work done to it but hopefully i can get it going and then i will put it up on youtube.

  • ooh, nice! :)

  • that receiver is nice and similiar to mines. how many watts does it put out?

  • 35 watts per channel, from 1977 I think.

I love the fact that it has both a tuning meter and a signal strength meter, like my Marantz does.

  • thanx 4 the response! i love those zenith allegro speakers.

  • The Zenith speakers were a nice $5 pawn shop score. They are very efficient, probably around 100db 1w/1m or so. To bad they only go down to about 60Hz. They have a 6.5" woofer, and a pretty hefty tweeter. Really nice warm sound too.
