  • I miss these days, getting "dressed up" to go out.....the suits, the hair, the music, the women.....lol.....

  • I still hold this opinion all these years later. This is still the finest studio band to come out of the eighties in Canada.

  • My daddy!! Earl Seymour!! MISS you & mom everyday.... wish u guys never left me </3 :(

  • Things are definitely electric in this song. Minus the guy with a moustache and we've got a perfect electrifying video haha

  • 25 years later and it still puts chills down my spine.

  • I've just recently listened to this song for the first time on an 80s station and what a kick ass beat. It's so weird that I can't find it anywhere on internet except here. Even lyrics are not available let alone the track itself.

  • The Arrows - still one of my favourite bands of all time and ALWAYS WILL BE!!

  • Earl Seymour's signature sax sound ... miss him.

  • @karmah65 Earl seymour is my uncle :) man its crazy to see him with his 80s hair lol....he was a super great guy. I still have an old LP of theirs signed by the whole band somewhere...

  • @shayice1 hes your uncle?????? lol hes my dad!

  • @sw33t714 lol yes hes my uncle, his eldest sister is my mom.

  • @sw33t714 i guess that makes you my cousin lol.... we should chat sometime tho, toss me an email Shayice24@hotmail.com

  • I love his voice!!!!!!

  • You know, you can't help but get up and dance no matter how goofy you may look.

  • I saw them in '85 at he Diamond Club (Now the Phoenix) during this era!!! AWESOME SHOW!!!! OH! I remember the HOT BLONDE in the HOT DRESS in front of me! HA!! I don't know why it says 1986, it should have been 1985.

  • Damn this song is soo contagious i cant help but to MOVE!!

    So VIBRANT, BOLD, and FANTASTIC!!

  • Dave Tyson was in this band too I remember... great keyboardist / producer

  • Love this song. Bad reputation is good too.

  • Great song! I can't say that enough! 80's Music rules!

  • great song

  • Very cool Mozz.....great tune good times, I miss the 80's....SO MUCH!!!

  • wow. I saw this band in Winnipeg in 1986. Awesome band. Fallen Angel is also a good track.

  • This is without a doubt one of finest studio bands I've ever heard. I love the lead singer's chops! Not sure why they just vanished.

  • hey

  • Damn these guys were a Fucking AWESOME band from the 80's!!!!! LONG LIVE 80's Music!!! Always and forever!

  • Earl Seymore was the rippinest fkn sax player ever lived man .he could smoke a pack of camels ,drinka bottle of vodka then rip the reeds outta that sax like no one on this friken planet! and i beg anyone do disagree ,never got the real recognition or money he deserved but his notes will scream out for ever on these recordings ..right on Earl ! you live dude

  • Do you do drugs?

  • I'm proud to say I co-wrote Heart of the City with Dean McTaggart, and the refrain goes:

In the heart of the city

In the heat of the night

    Things get electric

    They build up inside

Those are the actual lyrics, folks. They were written by Dean, after he and I roughed out the tune at the Arrows' Toronto rehearsal space, back in '85.

That was a fun year. I also co- wrote a bunch of singles with Zappacosta, including Turn It On, I Think About You and When I Fall In Love Again.

    Good, good times.

  • @mozzola cool man ! I lived with Earl for a while on spruce hill road in the beach ! remember the" blue note" and some good partys after hours, ooyaaa Dean was a great singer and writer .Those were the days wow

  • @mozzola

That's awesome. What a great song and what a great time that as back in T.O. Congrats...

  • @mozzola

That is so awesome! I loved the Arrows and Zappacosta. You are very talented.

  • @mozzola that's good to know, man. I actually first heard this song in a Japanese TV show called "SALOMON SKI NOW '86" which used lots of English language rock and pop song. By the way, I was born in 1985. Thanks alot man. Great song.

Have a great day, a great night, a great week, a great month, a great duration of the summer, a great September and a great fall. Puerto Rican Love from New York City!

P.S.: You can find episodes of Salomon Ski Now here on Youtube.

  • @mozzola love this song!!!

  • @mozzola That is soo cool man, what did you guys use to hammer out the melody? Cheers and great song!

    Dave H.

    Calgary

  • @mozzola Can you send me the lyrics of the Zappacosta's Turn It On, please? :))

  • This was our anthem way back in the '80s.

    Also this:

God save our gracious queen, long live our noble queen

    God save our queen

Send her victorious, happy and glorious

    Long to reign o'er us

    God save our queen.

What may seem strange and incongruous to you is a very happy memory to me.
