It is well know that this was a regional tactical mistake by the British, not a physical defeat in battle as such. We foolishly had hedged the defense of the whole region, on the swift application of a specific tactical force from outside of the region and a very foolish and blaze mistake to make, as any delay meant no suitable defenses (as occured). Also this defeat was amazing attributed to use of Japanese bicycle mounted troops, which made troop movements a breeeze by comparison to bashing.
Yeah but did the commander almost cry when he gave surrender?
It was filmed and to me looked like he almost did
Singapore was bombed the same day as pearl harbour was. So we were going to lose
I just feel sorry for the hundreds of thousands who were forced to admitt defeat. As history has cleanly proven given the right weapons they would of walked over Japan
It was shame. You have to feel sorry for them. Not only losing but them the tourture they endured
haha well said from a English.British should fight on instead of surrending. The surrendering of the Royal British Commonwealth troops to the Japanese Imperial Army was a big disgrace to the United Kingdom and that was why after the war, most Asian doesnt trust the British for defending their land.
see how you brits make out without America

You daft yid.
Its from a museum with wax works explaining what hppened at the time.
What i liked was Britain said.
"We want to keep soldiers here to keep the peace"
Japan said "do you surender"
Britain said we need soldiers here to keep the peace.
Japan said "do you surrender"
Britain said yes.
And then there was no peace and Britain trashed them straight back out.
