As a lover and owner of several Chanel bags, I must say this is ridiculous overcarefullness of the bags. It is not the Mona Lisa. I have seen several people wearing gloves, but these bags can take normal handling very well. Not necessary.

The gloves are to protect the leather on the bag from any natural oils that are released from your skin. She probably handles them all day or quite a bit.
