Well, it not meant to be cute, but rather to show what her other face is like. From far away she's the cutest thing ever, but then she'll come into your lap taking turns in both licking and BITING you at no provocation. I agree that she's being provoked here to get the louder growls out out her, but I assure you that this is generally not the case. I've never heard her hiss because of petting before or since this video.
